Our tour had to be re-scheduled at short notice because of a major conference being held on the day we were due to go, closing the Palace to the public. We received notification in good time about this and were able to easily change to another day.
The tour meeting place was easy to find from the instructions provided and it was about a 5-10 minute walk from there to the Palace. The entry formalities were quite strict and took a while, but understandable due to security.
The Palace itself was impressive. Although the tour only took in a small part of the 1100 rooms it was enough to recognise what must have been the cost to Romania to satisfy the ego of one man whilst his countrymen suffered. Our guide told the story of the Palace well, she was interesting and very knowledgeable.

We were advised to arrive at the check-in location 30 minutes before our tour and were glad that we arrived 45 minutes early since we wandered around for a time before finally spotting the office. The tour of the parliament was actually done by an employee at parliament and not the tour company. There were about 30 people in the tour group, and we had no problem hearing as long as we were near the front.

Our guide Ioana from Transylvanian Wonders (local company) was terrible. She was rude and did. Trey to accommodate anyone. She send a generic text message the day of the tour and because of traffic we couldn’t make it 30 min before. We then met her in the lobby of the parliament when she gave us a sticker and left us in the care of the parliament guide. The tour took less than 50 min and the lady was very uninterested in the tour, giving us just facts we could look up online. Could have been such a better tour and more entertaining if the guide would have been a little more excited about her job.

Much construction. Tour goes to rooms that are very similar. The Senate chamber had a high tech voting board , and was a high point.

Even if in almost an hour we only covered 3% of the immense palace of the Parliament of Bucharest (it is an administrative place, not everything is accessible), I do not regret having been able to discover the splendor of this gigantic building in the heart of the Romanian capital, as cold and austere as the marble facings which adorn it.
Attention ! Visit with guide and MANDATORY reservation, presentation of an identity document too!

The guide explained things thoroughly and was not too hurried. The group was not too big. It was well organised

Be sure to remember your passport as they have very strict security. One person forgot his but the local rep helped him get a taxi back to his hotel and then to meet us again.

I was expecting a better tour. Our guide was really quiet so hard to hear and you barely get to see any rooms. However, it is interesting to see inside the mammoth building
