Located in Dublin’s historic Liberties, Pearse Lyons Distillery, Dublin’s only boutique distillery, is a five-minute walk from The Guinness Storehouse. Nestled in the former Church of St.James, this distillery has a colourful history dating back to the 12 Century.
On tour of the distillery and surrounding graveyard, guests are introduced to the compelling characters from Dublin’s famous distilling and brewing district. This district, rich in culture and tradition, was once a place of booming industry known as The Golden Triangle.
The Pearse Lyons Distillery produces some of Ireland’s finest small batch Irish whiskies and celebrates the Irish tradition of storytelling on each guided tour. Guests enjoy a sensory experience as they are brought through the distilling process, before enjoying whiskey and gin tastings at our tasting bar.
All of our booklets, interactives and welcome video are translated in seven languages.

Lovely boutique distillery! I visited their sister distillery in Lexington, Kentucky as well and also had a good time there. Bernard at Pearse Lyons was the best!

Looking for something to do in Dublin, we did this, only took about an hour. Tour guide was interesting, loved hearing about the history of the building and how it became a distillery more than the actual tasting. We were the only people on the tour.

This is a cool new distillery in a very old location. Pearse Lyons refurbished this old church and out his distillery inside. The cemetery is still as well. The adjoining contemporary building houses the front desk and other rooms but all the stills and bar are in the old church building. I enjoyed the whiskey and was shocked that I also really really enjoyed the rhubarb flavored gin. Wow.

Great experience in a magnificent setting.. An old church. I would have liked to have had an audio guide in French. I recommend the experience.

Since the tour is attended by many guests whose first language is not English, one might expect the pronunciation to be a little clearer. A tasting glass should have been included in the price, as at other distilleries.
Overall, though, it was a nice tour at a special location.

We wanted to try a whiskey other than Jameson and were NOT disappointed with Pearse Lyons. Excellent. Their gin was delicious as well. The tour was great!

Science doesn't change based on location. The Pearse Lyon distillery is the coolest place to learn about distillation. Their whiskeys are the best there are. I really miss the Cooper's Select. Yer man spent 27 MIL Euro fixing up the church so he could make whiskey in it. It's really cool. I've done this tour 3 times. My friend brought me here. Then I brought my wife. Then again with my sister.
It is an easy tour to miss as it's not well know, but it is the best there is.

Very beautiful story for this place and very nice visit with our guide EMILIE from Celtictours. It goes without saying that the tasting was also perfect and that I was left with a beautiful bottle.

Went on the legacy tour, and whilst I was interested in the whiskey, the building and storytelling blew me away.
The history and labour of love to create the distillery are a true labour of love, and it gave a really unique element to the tour.
The whiskey? It was fantastic with my favourite being Ha'penny 4 cask.
It will take one hell of a distillery to provide a better experience than Pearse Lyons.
