The crew and catamaran did everything right. We booked from our hotel Moon Palace Nizuc. We were told it was only a 4 to 6 hour day. We left hotel at 8:30 and didn't return until 6:45 that evening. Very long day. Snorkeling only lasted for 20 minutes, then on to the beach club at Isla mujeres. The beach wasn't nice, the water was nasty. Stayed there for 2 hours then catamaran took us to north side of island. Dropped us off for another 2 hours. No shade, no chairs , no umbrellas. You had to pay if you wanted a chair or umbrellas. I thought I was going to have a heat stroke. Everyone in our group felt the same. Never again will I leave my beautiful resort and go over Isla mujeres for a day from hell.

Gustavo and the crew were amazing. We had a fabulous time sailing, snorkeling and seeing the beautiful island. Lunch and hospitality was fantastic! DO THIS EXCURSION!!

We booked the tour through our hotel, Royalton Chic, so transport was included and was on time and comfortable. Checking in at the harbour was very well organised but there was quite a bit of waiting around as each catamaran boarded in turn - there were lots of staff trying to sell suncream, hats, phone cases, travel sickness bands etc…
The catamaran itself was luxurious and very clean. The staff were brilliant, keeping drinks topped up and ensuring good music being played throughout.
The snorkelling was much better than expected with a guide taking the group around, we saw many fish. We’ve been snorkelling a lot in different countries but we were pleasantly surprised by how much we saw for just an add on snorkelling experience on a catamaran cruise. The additional stop off for a jump in the sea and swim was appreciated too as the water was beautiful and the cool down was needed!
The stop at the beach club was good. Food was good (lots of vegan options for us) and they kept drinks topped up. The golf cart tour was a must - even though it cost an additional approx. $48 USD for a cart, it was a fantastic way to see the island.
The final stop off was the let down of the day for us. 2 hours in downtown where the staff walked the group to a shop where everyone gets a “discount” to try and sell some things. We wanted to go the beach but had to make our own way and it wasn’t a great beach, very busy and if wanted a parasol or sunbed you would have had to pay. We just dropped our bags and went for a dip as needed it after walking to the beach as it was very warm. Got to admit we were a bit cautious in the sea as had to keep an eye on our bags with it just being a very busy public beach.
We are so glad we did this tour and would highly recommend!

We purchased this tour through our hotel’s concierge so transportation to and from the port was included for us. Once at the marina everything was very organized. The crew was super attentive and fun. They passed around mixed cocktails, beer, water bottles and non alcoholic drinks. We snorkeled for 15 minutes or so with one of their crew members leading the way then we made a stop on a part of Island Mujeres to walk around the market and did tequila tasting. Then after about 40 or 45 minutes we gathered back on the pier and sailed to the beach club where we had an open bar and lunch buffet which was amazing! I would recommend to rent the golf cart to go on a short expedition with a crew member, unless you want to stay behind to sun bathe and of course drink some more. There’s also a DJ playing music at the beach club. After the golf cart tour we had still time to eat and drink some more before it was time to leave. The only thing I didn’t like was the water at the beach club because the sand was like quick sand, not firm as you walked and you’re not allowed to swim out past the ropes because of safety since many boats dock at the piers. Other than that, the trip on the catamaran was great and the crew made it a lot of fun. Definitely recommend getting this platinum over a cheaper catamaran tour.

We went on this trip after being recommended it by our hotel travel agent. It was an amazing day, we really enjoyed the catamaran and my son and husband both did the snorkeling from the boat which they said was incredible. The guide was great fun, friendly and informative and ensured we all had a great day. We did the optional buggy tour of the island, which we were glad we did as added to the great day. The buggy trip was good fun and it was nice to see more of the island.

We priced the same trip through a few places.. eventually booked through Happy Shuttle. We always book through them. Very honest, timely, and professional.
MORE THAN I CAN SAY ABOUT ATLANTIS 2 experience! First, I should say, the crew on the boat was outstanding.
We had an 8am pick up from Hard Rock.
The check in procedure was nothing more than an endless parade of stuff to buy. Be prepared to wait 45 minutes to 1 hr to board.
Again, the crew was awesome
The snorkeling aspect of the trip was, well, not worth the effort. I think water time might have been 15 minutes… the crew were on top of it. On the way to the island, we were asked “want to rent a golf cart to explore the island… SURE!! More on this later.
So we get to the island, we get dropped off near downtown, where we now have to wait about 45 minutes or so to get back on the boat to go to lunch.
Which means you can’t really explore the area much. EXCEPT… you see all of these people in golf carts… CANT WAIT RIGHT!!
So we board, and go to the beach club to eat.
Food was acceptable
After we eat, there is ZERO to do.
Wait… downtown was bustling, interesting.
We wait… wait… NOW WE GET TO TAKE A GOLF CART AND EXPLORE!!!
WRONG.
You are taken to an area where there are 15 or so golf carts, to which you are now going to play FOLLOW THE LEADER. Not what we were told
No exploring, you will be driving in a mindless line, governed by the least common denominator. THEN… you get to stop and take picture!!! Oh, and meet the obligatory pitch for additional things to buy!
Get back in the carts to proceed to the next scenic opportunity (it was beautiful btw)
Oh… more shops of the same stuff they tried to sell us in the morning.
AND… are you ready… YOU HAVE TO PAY TO GO TO THE BATHROOM HERE! Nice
When my son said “are you kidding?”
The female person snapped at him and if you don’t pay you disrespect Mexico

After the Ace Ventura stop, we get back to follow the leader to our last diversion…admire the “art”, and then like the cattle we are… we go back to the hopping Beach Club to count the minutes. Literally
So now we board to return to the steer roundup where we started. Hoping to Enjoy a relaxing boat ride

I failed to mention earlier the absolute worst part.
The “”“cruise director”””” was ruthlessly obnoxious , and rude.
Understand there are people from all over on this vessel. As is common in most international tour circumstances, the narration will typically be in two languages, rarely any more. And usually maybe a little skewed towards the native language. I get it..
maybe a little more panache in native, and scripted in English. Got it.. NP
This guy was obnoxious enough that after a while we started timing his schtick. It was comical it was so bad. Spanish to English averaged over 85%.
He would blurt and laugh over and over, then give us two sentences.
UNTIL…. It came time to pass the tip box.
Now he got his English back on..
that one was 30/70 . Seriously… we were timing him!
After he VERY RUDELY commented to a passenger who declined to tip “well I hope you had fun anyway “ I took the money we were going to tip and handed it to the crew we interacted with as they deserved it . Unfortunately while I was doing that King Cheeriobed went along to guilt the balance of the passengers and I missed my chance to speak my peace directly.
We definitely want to go back to Isla Mujeres.
We definitely will not recommend Atlantis 2 with its plethora of carnival setups and herd-like atmosphere.
Did I say…. The Crew was AWESOME.

The shuttle to and from were horrid. They were 20 minutes late for morning pick up full of sick children. Return was worse everyone left all buses etc we were told ti wait till another boat comes in. So stay 1 -2 hrs in a parking lot with 30c plus we waited over 40 mins and took a $100 cab back to hotel Manager has no balls would not address issue.

I do not recommend this company. I didn’t like it. The drinks are very watered down, both soft drinks and alcoholic drinks. On our way back onto the boat they had an ice chest with waters and everyone getting back on the boat was grabbing a drink. Well once we sat down a crew member came over to us to tell us that those drinks were for the captain and we shouldn’t have taken them! Well don’t leave them in an ice chest that’s open on our way in and have everyone grab one. The captain was not hospitable at all along with some of the other crew members. The talked about tips constantly. They also took forever to board us onto the boat, they had us wait in an area where we were bombarded with people selling $30 sunscreen and all the reasons we needed to buy it. We only had one hour on the island which was so short as we barely had time to check out the island and shop. I’ve taken a catamaran to Isla Mujeres previously and loved it with a different company. I don’t remember the name but we were able to snorkel and once on the island we had a few hours to shop, eat and hang out on the beach. You can also save the $150 per person and take the ferry for $5 a person. You’ll be able to hang out on the island for a longer time and rent a golf cart on your own.
