Lot do do. Lots of walks,
The river was my favorite and the night show.
The park is amazing,, it's not Disneyland, so don't expect rides because there isn't,

We use MK Tours And Transfers, he picked us up from the hotel and at the end of the show took us to eat tacos, and brought us back.
I really recommend them. We are a family of 8 with 4 kids, 2 of them babys.

We purchased the Xcaret Plus pass along with VIP seats and the seven course dinner / drink add-on for the evening show. Below is a breakdown of the pros and cons from our experience:

PROS

The Mexico Spectacular performance itself went above and beyond living up to its name, utterly spectacular!

The park was incredibly breathtaking on many levels and offered a large array of entertainment / education / beauty - the lush rainforest, mangroves, animal enclosures / habitats, rafting through a jungle canal, variety of food / snack options, various shops to pick up souvenirs and/or last-minute needs, ocean / bay access / views, botanical gardens / greenhouses.

The park was big enough that it never seemed too crowded nor had long (if any) waits at exhibits. Though, we did visit during a slower time for tourism.

CONS

The park is way too big to fit even a fraction of its exhibits / experiences in, in one whole day. This was even more of an issue because the maps and directional signage were poorly executed. Which made it very difficult to create a cohesive plan for maximizing our ability to see as much as possible or to create a route that included our top picks of what to see / experience during our full day there. Plus, the app map didn't work. Subsequently, we missed out on some of the things we were highly interested in, while ended up in areas that were lower on our list of "must sees / experience". This also led us to use the buffet lunch voucher that came with our Plus passes at the first one we happened upon; many hours past a more desirable lunch time and way too close to our dinner with the evening show.

The VIP Plus amenities were more of a joke than an exclusive benefit. There was literally no enforcement that only those who paid extra for the Plus passes were using the VIP amenities. So, there were many individuals without a Plus pass clogging up the lines for their VIP showers, bathrooms, changing rooms.

There was not enough safety / anti-slip matting on the highly slick ground / walkways throughout the park, especially needed throughout the VIP restrooms and changing rooms. We had the true jungle experience by having a monsoon-like rainstorm pass through in the late afternoon / early evening. The ground / walkways we so slick from having no safety matting in the rain that we saw numerous people slip and hurt themselves to varying degrees all around the park. My husband was one who experienced this in the VIP men's restroom because there was no safety matting and, due to the upward spiral design of the VIP restrooms / changing rooms, the urinals were on curved incline with continuous water all over the floors regardless of rain or not (as a result of people continually engaged in water activities before and after using the facilities). The chosen design of the VIP restrooms / changing rooms is very poor and acts as a huge fall risk without safety matting.

The evening show's VIP seating and paired dinner left a lot to be desired. The seating appeared to be an afterthought, certainly not worth an upgrade. The seats were basic chairs paired up with pop-up tables that were placed in the small space between the raised stage and the built-in ampitheatr-esque seating. Due to the make-shift seating being lower than the raised stage, the full-stage and overhead screen view was less than stellar. The paired dinner / drinks was a fun concept (each course was created to match along with what the people of the times being depicted within the show would have eaten). Though, the cost to portions (each "course" was more like a micro-tapa) ratio led us to believe that the pricing was heavily based around the "experience" more than the actual meal / drinks. This package was supposed to include our choice (from a select few options) of two adult drinks. In the beginning, we were offered our choice for the first adult drink of the show. Whereas, the second adult drink was simply brought out (chosen for us), which ended up being a non-preferred option for either of us. All-in-all, the show / performance itself was magnificent in every regard, but the upgrades were not worth the high add-on price tag.

In conclusion, the concept and park as a whole seems amazing. Though, as a tourist who only had a day to take in our favorite aspects of it, we were unable to do so as a result of the abovementioned issues. This park has great potential to easily receive a five-star rating by way of making the maps and signage more user-friendly for tourists that can not come and go as they please, be sure that the app is functioning properly as sufficient resource for navigation and planning a full day filled with personal must-sees and chosen / planned food options, better safety measures to prevent slip and fall injuries (especially in the poorly designed VIP restrooms / changing rooms of a water park that also experiences much rainfall), make all of the VIP upgrades worthy of their name (VIP) and additional costs- the show's VIP seating and dinner / drink add-on and the VIP amenities for the Plus passes.

It's great! The attention is unique and the final show is incredible. For the complete experience, I recommend purchasing the photo package; Throughout the park there are places with their respective cameras.

Without a doubt I had the desire to bring my family and get to know Xcaret mainly to live the experience of the spectacular Mexico show and the truth was it was truly beautiful, the food was delicious, an excellent tasting menu, the service was first class and I have to congratulate Issac Dominguez for the service that exceeded our expectations, my daughter hugged me at one point and with tears in her little eyes told me that she was proud to be Mexican, my daughter is 9 years old and I know that she will remember this experience all her life... thank you Xcaret for such a beautiful evening and delicious dinner.

The night show at Xcaret is excellent ......the history of Mexico in song, dance and drama.....with several hundred dancers, singers, actors, musicians. A world class two hour performance every evening at seven.
Shuttles, many, many shuttle busses ferry hotel guests from all of the resorts to the evening performance. A bit pricey but worth every cent. Cost us $119 each for the shuttle.....about 30 minutes from our hotel.....and the two hour show. You arrive two hours early and can visit all of the park and see a great historical hacienda type museum, a large working replica of an ancient church, a great horsemanship outdoor performance, various small zoo enclosures, beaches, real Mayan structures and artifacts, etc. The park is huge, first class and spotless. There are a number of restaurants and gift shops. It is spread out along jungle paths with beautiful natural plants and trees,
The shuttle busses and the open air (with roof) auditorium are very impressive
A suggestion to the management of the the evening show: the opening act (a Mayan ball game) lasted a bit too long and became a bit boring. All of the other acts and performances were fast paced, colorful and wonderfully performed. The costumes were really impressive.

This is the third time we visited it, if we compare it with the previous times we find it somewhat neglected. I understand that the years and the number of visitors leave their marks, but if we take into account the high cost, it is well worth carrying out adequate conservation tasks. The Chocolate Workshop was very good, as always Spectacular Mexico, outstanding. Previously, a practical paper plan was provided as a guide, which, together with fixed plans, made movement easier. I understand for ecological reasons this is no longer done. It may have been by chance, but on two occasions two visitors asked me about certain places. Technology is not always practical.
