4 Day Lodge and Treehouse Kruger National Park Safari

We stayed at Tremisana Lodge for 3 nights and it was fantastic. The accomodation, food and staff were all very good. We went on 4 safaris and a bush walk and saw 4 of the big 5. Only the elusive leopard was missing. Also saw lots of giraffes, zebras, hippos and crocs. The number of animals was amazing. Thanks to Pattie for her help in organizing our trip. She was excellent.

A very well-organized and welcoming arrangement! Good contact with Viva Safari before departure and well organized upon arrival and stay. We had a really wonderful experience and got to meet many nice and very knowledgeable people. Special thanks to the guides Smiley, Nadine and Charl for fantastic lessons about animals and nature.

Very well organised. Most of the guides were professional and knowledgeable. Saw a leopard, which is exactly what I wanted. Plus lots of other animals. Transport to and from the lodge was comfortable. Would recommend for solo travellers as I met some great people from all over the world.

What an amazing experience!
From the initial email, communication was fantastic. We decided on the Tremisana Lodge package instead of the treehouse. Our pick up shuttle was running late, so we arrived at the lodge just in time to do the sunset safari and bbq.
The staff were very welcoming.
All guides and drivers were so friendly and knowledgeable.
The staff at the lodge were great. The food was amazing!
All in all, it was everything we could have hoped for.
I highly recommend this tour and this company.

From start to finish - Patti was amazing, quick and responsive with all of my questions and inquiries when choosing the right package for me.

It was very well organized, no hassle, simple.
No trouble when I landed in Johannesburg, arranging pickup/drop off at the airport.
All of our drivers (Solly1 and Solly2) are very safe and courteous.

I got to see all the BIG 5 in my first hour landed in Kruger!
It was an incredible experience!!

I really enjoyed all our activities, there's always something new in every activities.

And the best part was when all the staffs from Marc Camp prepared a surprised Birthday cake on my BIRTHDAY!!!!
THANK YOU MAMA B & MAMA P and the ladies and all of the staff at Marc!!!!!

VERY THOUGHTFUL AND SWEET!!!! I really appreciate it and will never forget!!!

Overall:
Food was decent, facilities were clean and prepared.
And scheduled activities/game drive was very entertaining and well-organized.
Staffs were amazing! Knowledgeable, friendly, kind and polite.
Drivers are very safe and patient.

Booked Viva Safaris for our Kruger trip based on reviews and it did not disappoint. Good value for money, great hospitality from staff at Tremisana and the guides/ drivers. Amazing wildlife, up close and personal at Balule Game Reserve and Kruger Orpen Gate section. Accommodation was basic but adequate considering we were mostly out on activities and there were giraffes, hyenas and monkeys roaming the lodge area as a bonus.

One of the most unforgettable experiences of my lifetime, courtesy of Viva Safaris.

Whether you're traveling solo or as a couple / group, you're bound to meet some great people and make memories of a lifetime.

ANIMALS: We saw all of the big five and a lucky group of us had a sublime encounter with about eight lions, five of which were cubs. Some of what we saw I will never forget. Be prepared to be disappointed on some trips, however - there's no guarantee of a sighting.

STAFF: What's remarkable is that some of the staff are working in 25-day blocks, with only five days off. New faces are cycling in and out every day, so you can imagine it's not the easiest job. And yet all of them made us feel like we were the only people on earth. You can also tell they love what they do, and they're very VERY good at it - these men have a sixth sense for tracking animals.

SCHEDULE: Another reviewer complained about a "tight schedule"... i.e., not having much downtime. I disagree. My experience was that the schedule was perfectly balanced. Yes, you're shuttled from here to there and sometimes it can feel rushed, but the guides are trying to see as much as possible in a fairly short window. You also DO get quite a bit of downtime in-between some of the activities.

DISCOMFORT: This was my first safari, and if it's yours too my advice would be to expect to be a little uncomfortable now and then. Much of the time you'll be hot or cold or tired or hungry. You'll have to pee or the mosquitos will be eating you alive. In those moments I tried to embrace the discomfort - it's all part of the adventure!

COST: I genuinely felt like I had a priceless experience, so I think the cost is more than fair.

The experience was unforgettable.
The guides were experienced and full of humor and jest.
We experienced several incredible sightings of lions and leopards less than a metre away from us.
Truly an experience to savour.
Lodge accommodation was clean and well kept. Food was tasty and homely.

We had a great time with Viva Safari’s. We stayed at Tremisana for 1 night and Marc’s Treehouse Lodge for 3. We found everything to be very well organised and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We saw so many animals and loved being so close to nature. The food at the camps were delicious.

Where to start? What an absolutely fantastic experience doing the 4 day Tremisana package. Highly recommend Viva Safaris to anyone wanting to experience a safari in South Africa. The guides were incredibly knowledgable and special shout out to Victor - firstly for introducing me to some authentic African music en route to Kruger and secondly, for finding our group Casper the famous Kruger park lion! Also a big shoutout to Smiley Hakuna Matata for introducing us to the Zulu traditions around elephant dung (no spoilers for anyone reading!).

Food was excellent. Game drives were excellent. Thanks to all involved!
