Maui is the place to see humpback whales. Each year these magnificent creatures migrate south from Alaska, and although you can see them throughout Hawaii, the ‘Au ‘au channel off the coast of Maui boasts the greatest number. Our warm, relatively shallow and protected waters make an ideal location for the humpbacks to mate and give birth to their calves. These whales are known for their acrobatics, and are often seen fully breaching out of the ocean!

This sailing trip was fantastic. Beautiful weather, warm breeze, free flowing champagne and awesome views. The crew were super attentive and made the cruise very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this cruise.

The crew was friendly, champagne and drinks were abundant. They had wine, beer and soda too. Food was ok, about what I would expect -some salad, pasta, small chicken rolls, cookies and banana bread/cake. The boat cruised up and down the coast then stopped for quite a while to watch the sunset. Wished it cruised for longer as that is when the bobbing up and down felt a bit nauseous, especially after drinks. The charming 2 girl crew is what made the trip as pleasant as it was.

What an amazing trip!! Captain Jake and first mate Sylvia were absolutely amazing!! I highly recommend this trip!! Food was great, drinks were great and the staff were amazing!!

This tour was amazing. Incredible views and we even got to see a school of dolphins swim along side us. Price was more than fair and the crew made it a great time. Shoutout to Noah for bringing us drinks and giving us a ton of whale facts. Could not recommend this sail enough.

Noah Amanda and Tim were amazing and I’d definitely recommend and even come back and request them! Tim steered us to whale spottings several times even during this sunset sail! Amanda and Noah made the trip fun and like family too with serving drinks and food and sitting with us chatting or taking pics

What a great way to watch the sun set, have nice beverages and ample delicious food while meeting many kind & interesting people. Their macaroni salad was the absolute, hands-down best macaroni salad on Maui. It came very close to being as delicious as my mom’s. That says a ton! Speaking of tons, the whales performed as though on que. We must have seen a dozen different groups. Some were escorts to a mom & her new calf. Others had to be young males seeking the attention of females in season. Those young males put on a breaching show within 59 feet of our vessel. It was beautiful to be so close to nature doing her best to impress U.S. passengers on The Paragon. The crew on board were attentive, funny and capable. It’s easy to say a good time was had by all. It truly was a perfect event on a calm January evening. I highly recommend choosing the Sail Maui, Paragon Sunset Cruise. Mahalo

It was great to be on the water with Paragon Performance for a sunset sail. The boat was just right for a smaller group. There was lots of room for everyone. The crew was professional and friendly. Unfortunately there wasn’t much wind that night so we motored more than we sailed.
After boarding and a safety briefing, we headed out into the water and cruised down the coast. The large catamaran allowed us to sit out on the bow for the best views. The crew offered us drinks including rum cocktails, beer and champagne. The pupus turned out to be pulled pork sliders in a boxed lunch with other snacks.
We wound up coming back in just before sunset. I would have liked to stay out a few minutes longer to get the full affect of the sunset, but all in all it was a fun event.

Thank you for another outstanding sunset sail. Great crew on a relaxing and beautiful boat. Our 10th trip with Paragon did not disappoint. Will look forward to our sail with you again next summer.
