About 80 miles (130 km) south of Santiago lies Colchagua Valley, one of Chile’s largest and best-known wine regions, home to high-profile wineries such as Montes and Viu Manent. Visit these two wineries — or similar alternatives — on this full-day wine tour with a local guide. Learn about the history of winemaking in Colchagua Valley as you enjoy tastings of popular varietals such as malbec, syrah and carmenere. Lunch is not included, but you have time to take it. This day trip is limited to eight people, ensuring you enjoy a small-group experience.

The tour guide, Rene, was affable and knowledgeable about the history of Chile and the native people. Between visits to wineries, we especially enjoyed the trip to the museum, which is a treasure the larger population may miss because of its location 3 hours south of the largest city, Santiago. The wineries were magnificent in their ambience and character, while the tastings were enough to justify Chile’s position as a tour de force in winemaking!

We had a great day with our driver and guide Renee. He was professional, informative and pleasant! Beautiful scenery and great wineries! We had lunch at Vue Manet. Food was delicious and all staff friendly and knowledgeable.

The tours were great, vineyeards and winerys were amazing and worth 4 stars but the down fall was the start of the day. Once I confirmed pick up was sent an email confirming pick up time at 8:00am. Driver and guide did not turn up until 9:00am. Not a good start. Guide's english was ok but not great so no decent explanation of our tour, history or particulars about Chile like the other tour guides. Would have been the perfect tour if we had the right pick up time and a tour guide that was bit more than a pick up and drop off

This was a wonderful trip, very well organized and the staff and driver were all ready with information and providing for your comfort. Beautiful countryside and people. My tour also provided for the museum in Santa Ana and it was fantastic with many more rooms and items then most museums have, there was a English movie before the tour and even though the tour person did not speak much English, she tried to help and describe many of the things of interest.
