Return Economy Airport Transfer from Keflavik to Reykjavik

Bought return ticket with pick and drop off hotel on Internet before leaving UK. Great service at airport desk. She printed out my tickets highlighting where I would be picked up from and the time. Transfer service was great on outbound leg. However while travelling relieved email saying that my pick up was not covered on my ticket and if I wanted to be picked from hotel I would have to pay more. I replied attaching a copy of the ticket asking for confirmation. So far recieved no reply.

I knew our plane was going to be late. I emailed the company to ask if we could use our tickets on a later coach. They responded promptly with the information that the tickets were valid all day. It was a relief.
Bus driver explained at the start of the journey that we’d be changing the coach for smaller buses to carry on with the journey to the hotel.
I made changes to the pick up time and place from Reykjavik to the airport .
I emailed the company to double check they made a note of the amendments. The response was that there were no changes to my booking.
We exchanged few emails before they confirmed they found the amendments to my original booking. The pick up from the bus stop to the airport was timely.

No problem, at either end of our trip.
The coach was waiting at the airport when we arrived.
Pick up was on time to take us back to the airport.
Would defiantly use again.

Keflavik was such an easy airport to go through, the airport transfer was right by the exit doors, reminder to get a printed ticket from them also to amend time if you arrive earlier like I did or you’ll have to queue and hope for space. As per other customers comments we arrive to the bus terminal no communication to say ‘you have to go onto another bus for hotel stop-offs’ we just noted everyone getting off looking bewildered and our bags on the floor. Everything is in walking distance and it’s safe and helpful, I’d personally not worry the extra £10- to be dropped off near hotel bus stop, just walk.

Their was no part of the arrangement that I can say want to remember. My hotel had to confirm my return ticket, of which I was told was not Hotel collection. Having got a taxi to the bus depot, a mini bus picked us up, rude, impatient and drove like an idiot to meet a coach.

Make sure you book a bus transfer from the bus station to your hotel / return to bus station because it’s not included in the basic cost . The bus station is not very close to most of the main hotels and a taxi will cost you £20 plus .

Airport direct bus itself is good value for money and gets you to the airport from the bus terminal eventually

However a bit unorganised and not very clear, we were dropped of and told to come back to the bus stop on the day of pick up, as busses constantly going to and from the terminal, waited for an hour 1 bus showed said he was finishing his shift and told us we should be on a list, in a panic I contacted the company to be told didn’t have a transfer from Reykjavik to the terminal, would need to make own way, was really confused asked for a transfer to be sent said should have enough time would transfer me through to book and pay for a transfer

Explained that I had already paid to be told but not for a transfer from hotel, really unclear and caused a lot of stress, maybe a mistake on my part but I doubt it since I was dropped at the hotel stop on my arrival, all be it, it was the wrong hotel tilo start with but that’s s different story

Went back into my hotel within 3 minutes they had me a taxi at the door and I made my way to the terminal, it ended up being cheaper than the £20 I would have been charged for the shuttle bus as it only cost half that

Be careful when booking with this company and make sure it’s clear what is happening with your booking and pick up, as this does seem a bit chaotic and unorganised, I didn’t like the attitude of no transfer make your own way as not that helpful but we got home in the end so no harm done

I booked my return trip from KEF online in advance of my travel. I chose this company as it seemed to have the best reviews. My experience, however, was less than stellar and in no way reflected the feedback provided in the reviews.

The trip from KEF was fine, until we arrived at the Bus Terminal. The driver, the rest of the staff and the passengers were EXTREMELY confused about onward travel to individual hotels. The main bus driver from KEF seemed to lose his patience and was not responsive to questions. A great deal of disorganization was evident, though finally one of the smaller van drivers finally 'saved the day' and got everyone to their appropriate bus stop in the city and kindly provided some instructions on how to reach the hotels.

The return experience was even worse. In advance I received an email telling me that I could be picked up at a specific bus stop (they even provided the number of the bus stop) and then transfer to the airport bus at the bus terminal. Based on the first experience I decided to confirm the details by phone. At that time I was told that no pick up was possible and I would have to make my own way to the Bus Terminal, resulting in a taxi ride and a fare of ISK 2,580. This suddenly became a much more expensive option than the online fees quoted by the competitor.

I would NOT use this Company's service again. In general, they have NO concept of customer service. Having experience 'on the ground' now, their main competitor seems far better equipped to provide the required service.

Got their airport economy transfer from Reykjavík. The bus was very punctual and very comfortable. I had been in touch with their customer service which offered quick and great service. My pick for airport transfers in Iceland!
