-Feel the Shinto vibe as you cross a vibrant red arch in Nezu Shrine, a portal into another world

We'll head for Nezu shrine, one of the oldest shrines in Tokyo. While your guide shares Japanese cultural and historical tidbits, we'll take great photos in and around the tunnel.

- Craft a lucky cat for your travel memory in an cafe of the old folk house

After a nice long walk, we will rest in a cafe with a drink and sweert. This is the first cafe in Japan that provides workshops to craft lucky cat statues that will bring luck and happiness. Let's paint your statue with your favorite color and patterns, and make your cat keep your memory from Japan for good.

- Dive into the local lifestyle! Stroll the backstreets of a quiet local area.

After visiting the famous Himalayan Cedar tree, we'll visit Yanaka Ginza, a long local shopping street which represents the flavors of Tokyo's old neighborhoods.

Awesome tour. Hina was very friendly and informative, and she did a great job answering all our group's questions. She showed us beautiful historic spots you might miss easily on your travels to Tokyo. My personal advice: wait for this tour to do your souvenir shopping. Hina will take you to a very nice shopping area that has great deals for very beautiful items that are perfect for gifts.

Hina was so kind, informative, and accommodating! I would definitely sign up for one of her tours again. Also her English is excellent.

Prior to the tour Magical Tours was responsive to my questions.

Mai is a fantastic host, we had a great afternoon exploring old town Tokyo. Highlight was hand painting the ornamental cat figurines and learning about Shintoism.

Ryo-san was an excellent guide throughout our tour of Nezu and Yanaka. He had a lot of useful information about the history of the area and some of the specific buildings. The Lucky Cat painting was good fun, the food and drink refreshing, and some excellent stores are visited.

I had a wonderful time on this walk with Euphie. I was the only one booked for the trip so it was a very special experience. She was very knowledgeable about all the key sites along the way. We had a very nice lunch. All in all, Euphie was an excellent companion for the afternoon

The tour was nice but the description was a little misleading. It stated that we would have a “traditional Japanese lunch” and sample various types of local snacks and sweets, as well as a sweet and drink at a cafe. We did have a small pastry and iced coffee while painting our ceramic cat but the only other food we had was a small fried pork patty. While it was delicious, I didn’t eat lunch thinking I would be sampling various snacks. I was starving at the end of the tour. The guide was very nice and the walk through the residential area was informative and serene.

I learned a lot about Yanaka through this guided tour. We were even allowed to paint a waving cat's stature ourselves and drink a free drink. When the tour was actually over, Kenji (our guide) took us to two other short spots. Thanks to Kenji I had one of the best experiences and entertainment on my trip!

Very nice tour along places that you would otherwise not easily find. Painting a cat was very funny! Nice guide who told a lot about Japanese culture and to whom you could ask many questions.
