This shore excursion combines our classic All-in-One Best of Berlin trip with a brief visit to the largest concentration camp near Berlin: Sachsenhausen.
We will pick you up directly at your cruise ship docking in Warnemünde or Rostock, and bring you to Berlin to see the city's essential sites. You will then be driven to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp for an overview of the memorial site.
Please be aware, Sachsenhausen is roughly a one hour drive from Berlin. The tour is organized to minimize time spent on the bus. This is why we visit Sachsenhausen in the afternoon, as it lies on the way back to port. More time, however, is spent on the bus than on our regular Berlin shore excursion.
All of our shore excursions are adjusted to each ship’s docking times and each starts promptly after your vessel’s arrival, returning with plenty of time to spare before its departure. We have been organizing shore excursions for nearly a decade and have never missed a cruise ship’s departure.

Excellent tour and guide. It was a busy day but the guide did a great job managing time and maximizing the experience. Viator does an excellent job; the coach was a very comfortable and we never worried about a thing with the door-to-door service.

Tour did not include the gas chambers or grave sites. Any tour to Concertration Camp needs to include that. When I asked the guide about visiting them, was told it "too far to walk". Concentration Camp part of tour was very rushed.

Nick was an amazing tour guide. He has such a vast knowledge of history, which kept the tour engaging throughout. The tour is well worth the 3 hour bus ride to and from Berlin (there is a restroom stop about half way). We hit all the major sights, some quickly, but again, well worth the trip. I highly recommend this tour and hope you are lucky enough to have Nick as your guide.

The moving experience was memorable because of the knowledge of Nick, our tour guide. He was excellent. I understand what happened on a deeper level. Nick also gave us time to enjoy the city of Berlin.

Our day in Berlin was outstanding — not just because of the history but more importantly because of our guide, Nick. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of the events that took place and was masterful at putting them into context.
