Participants must be certified divers to take this trip. If you are not certified you must book the Discover Scuba diving program
Sail Rock is considered a world class dive site and is the closest dive site to Koh Samui. Your day will start with us picking you up at your hotel approximately 7:00 am. We will take you to the pier where you can enjoy some light breakfast and coffee/tea and meet Discovery Divers Team.
The boat will leave the pier at 8:00 am, it takes approximately 50 minutes to reach this outstanding dive site. Amazing big school of fish, as well as some of the most spectacular underwater scenery.
with regular Whale sharks sightings, but not guaranteed.
It is also a great option if you wish to be back relatively early as we normally return back to the pier at Koh Samui about 14:00.

So friendly and helpful. I have dived with Discovery divers twice, a yeah a part and they were amazing both time! I will definitely make it back to the island again to dive with Discovery Divers.Worth every penny

We dived as a group of 4 so I felt well looked after. Visibility was ok on the day we went but I’ve heard it’s been better at other times but still plenty of life to see and a nice chimney to swim through. I really liked that food & drinks were included (with dietary requirements taken care of) so didn’t need to pack this. Be prepared for somewhat bumpy boat journey on the way back though.

Picked up from hotel 7.45 as instructed. Had pre dive/brief in dive shop by the speed boat. Got on boat (all equipment supplied and waiting for me on boat). Nice comfortable boat journey to sail rock. Carried out 2 dives and returned back. > you need to experience it yourself to feel how good it was. Everybody on boat very happy diving and excellent help from instructors on board. 5 star service.

I had such a wonderful time diving in Koh Tao (Mango Bay) - had to go back immediately the following day for a trip to Sail Rock. These were my first open water dives since getting my certification and both days were so memorable.
The team were extremely friendly, funny and super attentive. The whole team made us feel very well looked after and it felt like we were with a group of our friends. My dive master Margaux was amazing! She was so helpful and made the whole experience even more enjoyable, pointing out all of the incredible sea life we spotted and taking time to explain everything.
The visibility at both sites was unbeatable! Truly a diver’s paradise. I highly recommend this dive centre!

Staff - from the moment we got to the center through the experience of diving, we felt very welcome, and in good knowledgeable hands. Hands. Even though we dive about once a year, it's always great to have a dive master who makes you feel a reassured, and takes care of you. You. It was myself and my two twin boys, and Gita did a great job on all aspects of the pre-dive, the dive, and even after. Of the crew were also very friendly, knowledgeable, and helped each other out with great teamwork.
Boat & Equipment - The boat was a relatively mid-sized boat exclusively for diving. So that was great. Was in great shape. The dive equipment also was all in great shape, all matched, including even fins. Clearly the center invested their equipment, including the gear for the junior divers in our group. This was great to see.
Sail Rock Dive - pretty interesting massive mini idland that sticks out of the ocean and you dive around it. Really great in that different divers can go to different depths around the same rock structure. One unique thing compared to other dives I've done is I've never seen as many massive schools of fish that you get to swim through over and over. Pretty cool. The coral is in great shape too.

I came to Samui in February for the first time and didn't know what diving center to choose. I ended up walking into the Discovery Divers office and felt welcome right away. I am so glad I ended up diving with them - the diving instructors are amazing and they really try to give everyone the best experience possible. I came back to Samui only 2 months after my first visit, to dive with them for 5 more weeks. On my first dive day since I came back I was lucky and got to see a whale shark. A couple of days later we spotted false killer whales in our lunch break and got to swim with them.
Later on during my stay I did the Rescue Diver course with Instructor Zoe. She did a great job making the two course days a very fun experience.
I can only recommend Discovery Divers to everyone who is looking for a diving center on Samui!

We did a two dive trip to Sail Rock and Samran pinnacle and our trip was amazing!! The staff are super nice and make sure everyone feels comfortable throughout the whole trip. We are relatively new divers and our guide, Dion, made sure we were very prepared and showed us some awesome sea life during our dives. Highly recommend this trip and Discovery!

My wife and I had the pleasure of diving with Discovery Divers Samui on a two-day adventure at Koh Tao and Sail Rock, and it was nothing short of spectacular! Our instructor, Sam, was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also made the experience fun and safe for everyone involved.
The marine wildlife was abundant, and we were lucky enough to spot barracuda, massive jellyfish, baby sharks, moray eels, queenfish, stingrays, crabs, grouper, emperor fish, sea cucumbers, and so much more. The quality of the equipment and boats provided was top-notch, ensuring a chilled and enjoyable experience.
The atmosphere on the boat was filled with great vibes and banter, making it easy to bond with fellow divers.
I can't recommend Discovery Divers Samui enough for anyone looking to explore the aquatic wonders of Koh Tao and Sail Rock. Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience; you won't be disappointed! 🌊🐟👌

They weren't kidding when they advertised themselves as white-glove service.
As a new diver (literally open water certified the day before), all I did was pick my wetsuit and flippers, and they handled the rest. They set up our BCD on the tanks, our regulators on the BCD, and even lifted it on the bench for us to slip into. When we were about to dive, they even put antifog into our mask and helped us put our flippers on! After the dive, again they helped us out of our gear and swap out our tanks. I almost felt bad that I wasn't handling my gear, but it seems like they have a system down that's best described as organized chaos.
As for the dives themselves, I was extremely satisfied. They have no more than four people to a divemaster, and they assigned it so that there were two "less experienced" (e.g., me) and then two "more experienced". That meant the divemaster was able to focus on making the less experienced ones feel comfortable and safe. This also works out since we newer divers ran out of air faster, so we returned to the boat while the two more experienced divers got an extra 10 minutes in the water.
My divemaster Dion was absolutely amazing. I warned him in advance that I was a newly certified diver and that I had buoyancy issues, and he helped me with patience and care. He gave me advice before the dive, corrected me during the dive itself, and then gave follow-up tips during our surface time. For our second dive, I needed almost no corrections in the water itself. He truly leveled up my diving in one dive!
Sail Rock was amazing. The first dive was spent surveying the area, and the second dive we returned to the best spot and just watched. It was truly a surreal moment literally having hundreds of schools of fish surrounding you! There's also a "chimney" that more experienced divers can swim through, so maybe next time for me!
If you plan to dive from Koh Samui, I can't recommend this dive center enough! They're slightly more expensive than others, but totally worth it!

I’m newer to diving, only about 20 dives. My husband won’t dive with me, so I have to go alone on the dive tours. I was super excited to dive, but a little nervous going on my own. This company is very professional and made me feel safe and taken care of. I even had to reschedule after getting food poisoning from a local beach bar. The communication was great, and they help me reschedule my dive with no issues. From the time they picked me up from the hotel to drop off at the end of the day, my experience was wonderful.
WhenI arrived at the dive shop I was immediately greeted by Gita my guide for the day. She was very friendly and clearly loved her job! She helped me get my gear, went over liability, forms and safety information as well as explaining some of the fish we would see for the day. The ride out was awesome and we were very lucky to have good visibility. I saw hundreds if not thousands of barracuda. We saw grouper, and enemies, really cool, clams, and lots more. Sadly, we didn’t see a whale shark on my tour, but it didn’t damper my spirits because overall, the dive was amazing! Lunch on the boat was very good, and they offered plenty of sodas and waters, I was definitely glad I picked this tour and had a great time diving in Thailand!
