We did the Savor Spain tour with the wonderful Sevan as our host/guide in February 2020. It lasted approximately 4 hours and was a wonderful insight into Barcelona's cultural history and favourite drinks and dishes. We also brought our 9 year old son on the tour with us and he thought it was definitely the second best thing we did in Barcelona (sorry, watching FC Barcelona win was his highlight). But to say that we had some initial reservations at whether a 9 year old would feel bored, tired or just uninterested in the tour but once the tour started there was never even a moment where that thought cropped up again. The tour was tailored around ensuring it was just as interesting for the adults as they are fun for the children. Sevan, our guide, was the perfect host - knowledgeable, likeable, great fun. More like going out with a good friend than on an organised trip. I couldn't recommend this trip enough. You'll love it, you'll find out where all the best places to eat are, the little places the locals won't tell you about so as to keep them for themselves, you'll eat and drink more than your money's worth and you'll have an amazing time. Give it a go next time you're in Barcelona!

AMAZING experience! Savan was our guide and he was absolutely amazing from start to finish. He also helped my friends and I out when Spain declared a State of Emergency. We didn’t know what was going on, and Savan was there to ease our worries. About the tour itself, Savan took us all around the many neighborhoods and informed us of its history. He also recommended some of his personal favorites. We stopped at MANY restaurants and cafes throughout the tour. Each location had a taste of its own and their own history. We even learned about the plaques on the ground. When they were built, established, etc. By far, this has been one of my favorite food tours. Savan is such an amazing spirit. We enjoyed every second with him. We stopped at so many restaurants, I can’t even tell you. But this food tour is definitely worth it! Fun fact: garlic from the Mediterranean is spicy!! We also had the best churros... ever! This guy knows his stuff! Highly recommend doing this tour if you’re visiting Barcelona, you’ll pass by if not all, most of the neighborhoods and see the different cultures and background in each one. It’s also a great way to see Barcelona on foot. Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH, Savan!! We’ll be back!

This was my first food tour and it has really left a high standard for future tours I go on. Our tour guide was Danny. He did a great job of providing interesting information and explaining the relevance of everything we ate and saw. I highly recommend this tour as a starting point for understanding the history and food of Barcelona. Not only will you receive an authentic experience, but you will learn things you would never have discovered through other means.

We wish we could give this tour 10 stars! We didn't have any expectations going into this event, but now we wouldn't let any friends miss this gem if they were visiting Barcelona! Sevan was so enthusiastic and you could tell that he genuinely loved the city and his job. The tour was a small group and it felt very personalized. We enjoyed great food and drinks and learned so many interesting things about the city along the way. Love, love, love!!

I couldn't recommend this tour more highly. Brian was a great guide -- he answered all our questions about the food and the culture (he has a map for everything!) and tailored his conversation to the audience, which included our 2 kids, age 10 and 13. The walk around Barcelona was fun and educational and the restaurants were top notch. Every place we visited was terrific and we always saw lines out the door (including on our return visits) so we knew we were eating good stuff. We tried new things and expanded the kids' horizons. At the end, Brian was able to make kid-friendly recommendations for our future meals, tailored to their favorite bites. He influenced our eating for the rest of our trip and made discovering new foods a joy.

Book this… don’t even look anywhere else! We had the best time and learned so much about Barcelona that we wouldn’t have been able to learn anywhere else… The food, the neighborhoods, the beverages...It was all encompassing! Brian was great, and even gave us some suggestions on things to do afterwards… some of his favorite places to celebrate.
We would do this again in a heartbeat!

We had such a lovely afternoon / evening with Sevan! Lots of interesting history and great food. He took the time to give us some extra recommendations so we had a couple of drinks in a lovely bar after and watched the sun set the next night from the terrace of the Catalan museum. Thank you Sevan, you made sure we had a wonderful couple of days and we can see why you love the city so much!

We had a fantastic time with our guide, Wendy. This tour was full of history and plenty of food and drink. So much so that we ended up canceling our dinner reservations for after the tour. Wendy was super knowledgeable about the history of Barcelona and Catalan. A high point of the tour was learning to drink from a porron. A little messy at first, but easy and less messy at the end. A great tour with Wendy.

We had a very nice tour in a small group. Our guide was so enthusiastic and we got a good knowledge about Spanish history, explained about Spanish culture and got a good opportunity to taste really good Spanish food. Our guide also took time to guide us in the Spanish wine world. Warm recommendations for this tour!

We had one of the best tours ever! We where a small group and our guide was so enthusiastic and it was very interesting. It was supposed to take 4,5h but we continued up to 6h ... Our guide not just told us about Spanish culture, and showed us a lot of interesting buildings and history. We also got a good picture of Spanish food and wine. So a very big thank you to Sevan/Wanderbeak!
