My husband and I absolutely enjoyed this day trip to Salzburg! It is well worth the price! Our guide Josef picked us up at the meeting spot and we left on time. Only 7 of us which was lovely. He explained so much history on the drive and took us through the lake areas near Salzburg which were absolutely gorgeous! We were able to get out for pictures and bathroom breaks at these stops. The breakfast stop at a rest stop/market cafe was delightful! So much variety. Once in Salzburg, Josef took us on a very informative tour of the old town and then we had about 2 hours of free time before meeting back at the van. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is staying in Vienna and doesn’t have much time to see the western side of the country.

I am not sure quite where to begin about how amazing this trip to Salzburg was. We had a very small group of 6 people- which was the perfect size, and everyone meshed very well together!! Our guide Robert was Extremely attentive, and made sure everyone was happy and well hydrated, and made sure that we got everything that we wanted to get out of the tour. 🥰🥰 It wasn’t the cheapest tour, but worth every penny!!! Small and intimate is the way to go!! 💕💕

Wonderful and informative tour! Wolfgang was a wealth of knowledge, accommodating and friendly. He drove us to Salzburg via the lake region and gave many descriptions along the way and in depth history. In Salzburg, we were greeted by Michelle who provided an in depth walking tour of the old city. She was an amazing guide. Overall, a long but must do trip!

Great trip! Started the day right at 7:30am and arrived back at our hotel at 7:30pm.
Wolfgang provided information as we traveled. Stopped for a quick RR and snack break before driving through the lakes district with two stops at different lakes-one for a quick photo op and the other for a short walk around town before heading into Salzburg where we met our town guide for an informational walking tour through the old town before having about 2 hours to eat and explore on our own. If your hotel is close to the city center, you will be dropped off right at your hotel upon arriving back in Vienna. Was a delightful way to spend the day seeing the countryside and Salzburg.

We joined this trip at the last minute after another trip we booked got cancelled at the very last minute.
The tour guide Josef was very nice, and we were lucky to travel with an amazing group.
This trip gives you around 3-4 hours in Salzburg so it it just the right amount of time for a taste of this quaint and beautiful town. After a few stops along the way, including a half hour breakfast stop on the highway, and a few stops with breathtaking views and photo ops, the tour guide gave us a 1 hour walking tour that acquainted us with the old city. Then we had free time. Some spent it at restaurants and at the market. We decided to take the cable car up to the castle and tour the castle. It was interesting and the view from up there was breathtaking.
The way back to Vienna took around 3 hours with one short bio break.
In short, if you prefer going on an organized tour on a short visit to Salzburg, I recommend this trip. You might want to consider taking the train to Salzburg and take a local walking tour of the town instead.

This was a great trip, partly due to the weather but mostly due to our guide, Robert. When we arrived at the pickup point we realized that we were the only two people on the trip. Robert was an amazing wealth of information. He knew tons of the history of the area, but he presented it in a way that kept us interested the whole way. He shared about his life experiences and asked about ours. He was very personable and made us feel like friends.

We stopped in the Lake District for some beautiful photos and walking around the area. Then we made to Salzburg and it is a beautiful place. Robert spent about an hour walking us around town and giving us a tour. Then we had about 2.5 hours to explore on our own and get something to eat. On the way home it started raining and lasted the whole way home. Robert was a safe driver and he kept the ride home interesting as well. All in all, a great day

Jozef was a great guide… just the right amount of info. It was especially enjoyable as he took us off the highway to enjoy the lakes region and we made a couple of scenic stops on our way to Salzburg which was wonderful. A great day with a great guide and having only 8 people in the group made the experience even better! The finishing touch was the return to our individual hotels…. Highly recommend!
