We had a really fun time at Madame Tussauds San Francisco! Seeing the lifelike wax figures of so many famous actors was an amazing experience. Walking around and enjoying the beauty of this place was truly memorable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Francisco

I love wax museums and my wife does not so we each went our separate way. I always wish Souch museums had either more interpretation or voice scapes. I like the emphasis on the local and my interest would have would be even more so but I definitely knew where I was, which helps!

It was cool. A few wax figures didn’t look like the celebrity and some were too realistic. Don’t go by yourself. Walking through the rooms solo is a little creepy.

Passing through San Francisco and in order to enhance a long day on the docks before the visit to Alcatraz planned for the afternoon, we chose to visit the Madame Tussauds museum. The museum only opens at 11 a.m. The visit is from top to bottom. We take the elevator and go down from floor to floor to cross universes and eras among impressively realistic wax statues. The visit was short but pleasant, the museum not being huge.
I noticed a small incident when booking tickets online. Although confirmed on screen, I never received proof of purchase confirmation by email, which forced me to pay again at the counter despite the explanations provided at reception. When I returned from my trip I received a double payment line in my bank account! After contact by email and providing the photo of the tickets purchased I was quickly reimbursed. I wasn't the only one in this situation, remember to take screenshots if you book online, you never know.

This is my husband and I second visit to a Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum. The first one that we visited was in Los Angeles. We had fun at this one but it was not as big as the one in L.A. We were in and out in 30 minutes this included is stopping and taking photos with the wax figures. There are figures in this one that weren’t in the LA one. It’s definitely worth a visit. However, I will recommend trying to find a deal for this attraction on Groupon as I did so that you feel that you got your money’s worth. The Groupon will save you a significant amount of money. Lastly, parking in San Francisco is scarce so I would recommend parking at a nearby lot which will cost $9 an hour and walking to it. We parked in the Pier 39 parking lot. However, with the way people drive in San Francisco and the pedestrians who don’t obey the “Walk” and “Don’t walk” signs, I would recommend Uber or Lyft. It’s less stressful and just might save you money because it’s a lot to do in that area that’s in walking distance and you can easily find yourself there 3 hours.

Excellent venues, lots of amazing sculptures, all statues at floor 2 and 3 are amazing, with very nice pictures from museum

This was such a fun visit and a surprising highlight to our San Francisco trip! There's lots of interactive options available throughout the museum as well as interesting information about the the history of Madam Tussauds and how wax figures are created.

Zendaya 😍 was my favorite part, but I loved the local SF celebrities like Harvey Milk and Joseph Strouse. Cool history I didn’t know a lot about.
