What a tremendous pleasure this cooking class and lunch was! There are many reasons why this was one of the top highlights of our trip to Italy. The day is extremely well designed and organized, the food is scrumptious (indeed one of the best pasta dishes of my life), the amount of work in the kitchen is just right, and Alina and Joanna, the leaders/instructors, are absolutely a delight! Alina and Joanna go to a lot of work to prepare for the day. They ensure that your cooking lesson experience and your dining experience are action packed, fulfilling, and memorable. They truly earn their stratospheric ratings (5 out of 5) by all who attend.
Also, the setting is so charming, both the Borgo and the countryside.
I can't say enough about this day.
Don't miss it!

Over several years of visits to Italy I've taken numerous cooking classes. Alini's, which I attended in May along with 4 of my friends, was the most hands on and fun. There were other travelers in our class, and that added to the festive atmosphere. Class started with all of us seated in the charming historic dining room on the estate. We all shared a bit about ourselves, and then Alini spoke about the estate, about olive oil, and with passion about Italian cooking. Then it was into the kitchen to make several different kinds of pasta and Alini's yogurt based version of Tiramisu. Throughout the class Alini gave each of us hands-on guidance. Our lunch of the dishes we made was delicious, and so was the wine. I highly recommend this experience. It was fun and informative and the location is beautiful. Alini followed up with a link with the recipes, which is a fantastic way to take your Tuscan cooking experience with you.

Alina was amazing and we made four pasta dishes! Truly delicious. We learned how to roll, cut and cook the pasta and had so much fun doing it. We also made a lovely summer tiramasu. We had a wonderful lunch eating all of our dishes with wine and limoncello. We learned about olive oil through her as well. A wonderful experience! The only thing I would say is it is cold in the stone kitchen and dining room so bring a sweater.

Alina put her heart and soul into our cooking class! We made several different pasta dishes along with tiramisu, all while drinking the local wine, in a gorgeous rustic setting. Once satiated, she packed up leftovers for all of to take away! We would highly recommend this class!

I am overdue in writing my compliments to Alina. Our family regularly takes a cooking class on vacation and this was without a doubt the best experience. Alina is a wonderful instructor and my teenage daughters thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We met lovely people and made so much food that we ate a hearty lunch and took home a full meal. The lesson location at Il Fontanaro is beautiful and we got to see the olive oil production area. I wish I could give this experience ten stars! Don’t hesitate to book!

I think this was one of the best pasta making classes out there. The location was beautiful. We made 3 types of pasta, 3 sauces and Tiramisu. The class was very informative. I cook but this class taught me about the consistency of my dough and a lot of great tips on pasta making. It was also great for beginners. The food was delicious . It was nice to sit with others and enjoy a meal. The wine was plentiful....the olive oil superb. The team was great. Our instructor was so passionate and knowledgeable. I am now following her on her blog and just love her. You get what you pay for....this was worth every penny and then some.

Do yourself a favor and find the time to enjoy life in Tuscany and go cooking :)
