Max, from Walk Around Sicily, was wonderful. He kept in contact with us so we knew exactly where and when to meet him. After taking us from the cruise ship port in Messina to Taormina, he would drop us off at our desired point in plenty of time to shop around a bit before meeting our chef for our cooking class. His 7 passenger van was equipped with WiFi and small bottles of water. During the 45 minute trip, Max shared local information with us concerning the differences between Italian and Sicilian cultures. He answered questions openly and honestly, which gave us a new perspective and knowledge. We arranged for a time and place for pickup at the same place as drop off, but were concerned when we were loaded into another van (different company) for a 10 minute transport to a different restaurant/class than we had anticipated. After arriving at the class location, we called Max and turned the phone over to the chef who explained where and when we would be ready for pickup. Max was there promptly for pickup and delivered us to the cruise ship port in plenty of time.
