We visited the Vatican in June of 2024 on the Private Early Morning Tour. From booking through meeting our tour guide, LivTours is great. They communicate and make meeting your tour guide easy. Our tour guide was Laura P. and she was fantastic - friendly and knowledgeable. She got us right in, ahead of the long line; explained what we were seeing in an informative manner; was humorous at times; and took photos of us in various locations. Would highly recommend this tour company and this tour.

We were very very happy with this tour. We felt like we had the Vatican to ourselves - which we really did! It was a very special morning tour. Our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. I would have no hesitation recommending this fabulous opportunity to see the Vatican in such a personalized way. You won’t have any disappointment! Definitely worth it.

Laura P. was excellent! Very friendly, easy going, does not push for a schedule and is very professional. She took her time and was always there for us. We were very happy and felt lucky to have had the chance to experience the area with her. I can only recommend her.

My 13 year old son and I went on a tour with Michela today. WOW. It was outstanding. We both loved it. She was a great guide- she could meet a 13 year old where he was and teach him a ton and was also great with the adults. My only regret about the tour was it was not long enough - I feel like I could spend weeks with Michela and learn so much. She is brilliant, fun, informed and friendly. If I could stay longer in Rome I would sign up for more.

Just wow! Not only was the Vatican and Sistine chapel incredible, the tour was absolutely brilliant- faultless!
We arrived super early (7:30) to be greeted by the smiling and energetic Rafaella (Ella). You could tell straight away that she was going to be a wonderful tour guide and we were not disappointed.
As there were seven of us in the party, two of which were kids under 12, we decided to opt for the shorter 1.5 hour tour...which I think was perfect for both the adults and the kids.
Getting into th Vatican early made all the difference, beating the hordes of people (and the ques) meant we could really get a feel for the place and enjoy its tranquility.
Ella was full of energy and passion and you could tell how much she enjoyed her job. She seemed to know absolutely everything and somehow brought anything she spoke about to life.
We were concerned that the kids might find it a little boring (after all which kid really likes a "museum"), but Ella had them captivated along with the rest of us right from the start.
Liv tours were brilliant and I could't recommend more highly.
I am sure that all the tour guides are great but if you are lucky enough to get Raffaella (Ella), then you are guaranteed to have one of the best experiences of the Vatican possible, even the kids will be talking about her and the tour for hours after the experience had ended.

Cinzia was an excellent guide on this comprehensive tour of the Museum and the Vatican Sistine chapel. The pace and depth of information was just perfect for our party of 4 Brits. Cinzia’s level of knowledge was outstanding but she knew when to move on and keep the momentum going!!
Overall an excellent experience, well worth it.

When I signed up for this I thought we went directly to the Sistine Chapel but know this is not the case. The other couple with us thought the same so somewhere in their literature this was stated/implied but that is not the case.
Pro:
There were just four of us with the tour guide which was great. Our guide Anna Lisa was very knowledgeable. We did go through many areas of the Vatican I have never been in before (this was my 4th visit). Plus most of the areas that are usually crammed with people were almost empty as we had such early access. You now exit the Vatican down the spiral staircase which I had not seen on prior visits so that was cool.
I definitely recommend this tour. You need to go in the Vatican early to truly enjoy it.

Good tour. Our guide was a little hard to understand but was very nice. We had to wait in line for 30 minutes outside for the museum to open.

Rosa was our early morning guide and she was fantastic. So sweet and knowledgable; I was just amazed at her passion for the art and the Vatican museum. This was a wonderful way to see the museum with a teenager as well- Rosa has a teen of her own and could relate. Highly recommend when you are in Rome!
