Enjoy a thrilling day of exploration as you embark on a journey through the many layers of Mount Etna. Your private guided experience will begin with at your accommodations were you will enjoy a scenic drive to the mountain to begin your journey. Then at about midway where cars can no longer drive, an alpine expert will guide you by foot as you hike and explore Mt Etna from over 2000 meters above sea level! Put on your hard hat and head lamp to discover what happens inside the belly of a volcano as you visit the grotto!

It was my favorite day on the 2-week trip to Rome and Sicily, hands down. Peppe was an amazing guide for our family of 3 (including a 7-year old). So informative and fun. I am especially thankful for how he kept us safe and comfortable on Mount Etna (my daughter is a little dare devil and my husband suddenly developed fear of heights!). The itinerary for the day was a perfect mix of adventure, fun and deliciousness. Just when we thought Peppe couldn’t top our experience after Mt Etna and the visit inside a cave, the stop at the winery took everything to another level. The wine, the olive oil, the food, the sweets! The perfect way to end the day. Peppe never rushed us through any of the activities and really prioritized us having the best time and being safe.
