Book through the website for the best price an worry-free trip! As I travelled solo, I requested to join a group for this tour and it was quickly arranged, although it seemed like the other 5 people in my group were booking with different agencies/on different platforms. African Beast Tour made sure that I did not have to pay anything admission fee at the door, unlike the others who struggled with payment on the eCitizen system.

Watson is an amazing driver and guide, and he made sure that we always have the best views of the animals in the National Park. It was raining the night before and the roads were extremely bumpy, but Watson is a very skilled driver! 🚗✨ We got to see a lioness and her cub hunting (unsuccessfully) for gazelles!

The elephant orphanage is very much recommended. During only a short hour you will get to learn so much about the orphaned baby rhino and elephants there, and even get the chance to pet them. If it rains, make sure to bring your mud-proof shoes.

The Giraffe Centre highlight was feeding the giraffes, obviously. There is also an education room where you get to learn a bit more a bout these gorgeous animals. Don't stand too close, they might head-butt you!

We had a great tour thanks to Black Santa! He picked us up bright and early from our hotel and we entered the national park just after sunrise. We saw a variety of animals including hyenas, various birds, antelope, gazelle, Buffalo, hippos, crocs, giraffes, rhinos, and even saw some baby lions. After the safari in the park we stopped off at a market and had a quick coffee. Black Santa made sure to get us the best spots for the elephant sanctuary as well at the giraffe centre. He also took us to a bead factory where we got to see how the project is helping the community and we enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant. Would definitely recommend!!
