The organization of the trip was not good, the driver didn’t appear on the day booked. So we had to postpone our trip to the next day. However, the day trip to Luxor was totally worth it. The temples were amazing and our guide Mansur was really good. He explained in detail every temple that we visited. Despite the organization problem, I would recommend this trip.

We were a group of 4 in our English tour to Luxor with Tarek el'Shazly as our guide for the day. He was on time and even looked fresh at 5:30 am, which I can't say about my self :)).
Tarek is very friendly, has a good English and I appreciated the fact that he understood our needs. It was a very hot day and we did not want to spend a lot of time in the sun, so his explanations were to the point but broad enough to get the big picture from all the places we went: Karnak temple, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut. There were some local shops visited. I liked the papyrus store; not so much the alabaster store (the owners were too pushy for my stile, but keep in mind that in Egypt all sellers are very pushy).
Our driver was also ok and professional, but I don't know his name.
Tarek, thanks for all the pictures taken to us and for helping us have a memorable day despite the heat and getting up early :).

I had a great experience visiting Luxor with a private guide, Hoda. She was very knowledgeable, spoke excellent english and brought the history and temples to life during the tour. She had a very personable approach rather than just being ‘a guide’ and I felt she shared her culture rather than just facts.
Sam, the driver, was brilliant too picking me up from the hotel at 5.30am and dropping me off well after 7pm - such a long day for him.
I have no hesitation recommending Hoda & Sam to any visitors wanting an authentic experience.
