Everything was amazing but Monkey MIA, Murchison Gorge and the Pinnacles were the standouts. The driver, Gus was great, knowledgeable and cheery and the small group we travelled with were good companions

Excellent tour with Gus, very knowledgeable and the locations exceeded my expectations with highlights everyday, white sand dunes, orange banksia, ancient cycads and white cypress and Stromatolites, sighted all the road signed native animals, perfect beaches, well explained historical and world heritage sites. Monkey Mia is a paradise, emus on the beach, dolphins and stingrays in the shallows, turtles at the pier, awesome optional sail boat tour sighting dolphins, turtles and dugongs, another day night would have been great but you have to leave sometime, a lobster lunch and walking among the pinnacles topped the last day, thank you Autopia Tours, absolutely ticked all the boxes.

Me and my mum had the best time in WA on this amazing trip. We were extremely lucky to see a lot of wildlife like dolphins, dugongs, sharks, turtles, kangaroos, emus… the nature is just breathtaking and the stops on the tour were amazing. All accommodations were nice, too.
A big thank you to our incredible guide Geoffrey who did everything to make the most out of our experience. He is very dedicated to Australias flora and fauna and made the trip unforgettable.

I went on this trip with a friend of mine and it‘s been such an amazing experience. Our guide Geoff was so great, a lot of fun, knowledgeable, and so welcoming. The atmosphere was really easy going. Monkey Mia and the Pinnacles Desert were definitely a highlight for me and absolutely worth doing. I just wish we would have had a second night in Monkey Mia, otherwise there‘s nothing I would change on this trip.

This was an amazing trip, and in a large part this was definitely due to our driver/guide, Geoff Homma! He was ever patient, helpful, courteous, kind, incredibly knowledgeable about all the great places we went to, going above and beyond to make this Perth to Monkey Mia - and all sorts of places in between - such a special experience. I'd highly recommend both the company and Geoff any time! 10 out of 10!

My sister and I are over the moon with this tour! The whole experience from start to finish was amazing! we enjoyed the whole tour, the food the accommodation and the company of our lovely group.

I highly recommend Monkey Mia Tour and especially want to thank our tour guide Geoff A perfect guide who was very attentive and respectful to everyone in the group, making sure that everyone could see and hear well and was happy to take as many pictures we wanted as well respond to all our questions. I was completely impressed by his knowledge and would definitely do other tours with him and autopia tours/wildlife tours.

The tour far outweighed our expectations, we saw so much in only 4 days , it was challenging to take it all in . The accommodations were excellent .
Autopia had put together a good tour catering for all ages . It would be hard to choose a highlight as everything we saw & did was so good .
It was made extra special with Geoff being our driver & guide .He is a very talented , knowledgeable & Autopia are so lucky to have him

Well, what made this tour so very enjoyable was our driver, Geoffrey Homma. He had so much knowledge about everything concerning the places we visited and took the time and trouble to follow up and respond to questions he couldn’t answer straightaway. He was always polite and professional and clear with instructions and information. We couldn’t ask for more. He is the most valuable asset to your company. Don’t lose him!!
There was a great bunch of people on this tour. We all got along very well and had so much fun.
Our accommodation was first class and lunch on the final day, which included lobster, was amazing.
Loved the places we visited, many of which we would have simply passed by if we had driven ourselves. Monkey Mia was exceptional! Certainly well worth the expense.
Very highly recommended. Well done and thank you Geoff and Autopia.

This trip was absolutely worthwhile, Geoff our tour guide kept us engaged and he knew so much about the local culture, places and history. I really appreciated the small group format and them capping people to get a better experience! Accommodations were excellent especially at the RAC Resort at Monkey Mia and Kalbarri Edge Resort. I initially went in thinking I wasn't going to get everything I wanted to get out of this tour but felt like Geoff knew what we wanted out of the tour and even made additional stops that weren't on the original itinerary. If someone had a question Geoff would find the answer and get back to us. If I could revise one thing about the trip would be an actual hike at the Kalbarri National Park (Z bend lookout, The Loop Trail especially) As an avid hiker, I felt like the stop there was too short. Especially since we lodged overnight in nearby Kalbarri. You will be able to do so much in just four days! Felt like enough time was spent in Dedham and Monkey Mia. I did want to explore more of Kalbarri and Geraldton specifically. And perhaps adding one more day especially around Kalbarri for future tours would be cool!

Uploading photos to a group shared app was a great idea also, love seeing what other group members took!

The format of this tour has changed, it is not a backpacking tour and this specific tour does not offer a hostel option at the time that I booked and went on the tour. Some meals are included in the trip and eating at local restaurants for others.

Highlights Include:
Nature's Window
Ocean Park Aquarium
Hutt's Lagoon Pink Lake
Dynamite Bay
Shell Beach
Multiple Sunsets overThe Indian Ocean

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Autotopia Tours and hopefully will be doing another tour with them next time I go Down Under!

I was disappointed that, in my view, the Autopia Tour website is misleading about the quality of this tour. It is a very basic, do-it-yourself, backpacker tour.

With the meals, the guests are expected to help haul the food and equipment from the vehicle, set it up, help cook, and clean up afterward. I would have had no problem with that if that was how it was presented. But when told I will be provided breakfast, lunch and dinner, that isn’t what I expect.

The standard of accommodation on the first and last nights was abominable. We paid for the “Private Twin/Double” upgrade, taking note that “Private ensuite facilities are not available at every property”. In fact, ensuite facilities are not available at any property this tour chooses to use. The first night was at a hostel which was simply filthy. The last night was a “farm stay” which, while cleaner, had rooms of a quality one would expect as a farm hand at harvest time, or perhaps a detention centre on Manus Island. The toilet facilities were a hundred meters from the rooms, up an unlit rocky, brush covered hill in a converted shipping container. Notably, the middle night stay at the RAC facility in Monkey Mia was quite decent.

In considering this tour, be aware that there is a LOT of time spent in the bus, about seven hours a day. No complaint there; that is what I signed up for. In retrospect, it is trying to cram too much into too little time.

The bus itself was a small 13-passenger van with 13 passengers. Generally, it was reasonably comfortable, although crowded. Oddly, despite operating in an environment where 40+ degree days are common, there were no curtains, leaving the passengers on the sunny side to bake.

Our guide was cheerful and enthusiastic, making the best of all situations. She was also a very good, safe driver. It was, however, her first tour in WA, so she was not very knowledgeable about the locations we visited, and I think Autopia let her (and us) down in that she was not well briefed.

This tour is new to Autopia’s offerings. As Autopia Tours has a very good reputation, I suspect they, too, would be disappointed by the quality of this tour. Perhaps they are fulfilling the accommodation contracts of a previous operator, and will upgrade from the dismal offerings we got – but that is just a guess on my part. Let’s hope so.
