Immerse yourself in a private cooking class at the Cesarina's home, learn the secrets of the most famous dishes of Messina cuisine and taste the fruit of your labour accompanied by a glass of local wine.
During the lesson, the Cesarina will reveal the tricks of the trade of 3 authentic regional recipes. Have fun putting your cooking skills to the test. Each participant will have a workstation equipped with utensils and all the ingredients to make the dishes. Then, taste everything you have prepared accompanied by a selection of red and white local wines.

Our cooking class with Mariella was everything we hoped for and more! Our family of 6 laughed and had a great time and with the help of Google translate, we cooked pasta, focaccia, and other Sicilian dishes! We were in Messina for a cruise ship port, and booked the cooking class. Mariella and her sister in law picked us up and took us to her home, with a gorgeous view overlooking the Messina straight. This was different than a typical tourist day and we highly recommend! Mariella is the sweetest and we felt truly welcomed into her home and visiting a family member!

Guisy’s teaching and lunch in her beautiful garden was one of the highlights of our Mediterranean cruise vacation. I learned how to make delicious pasta from scratch along with other delightful accompanying dishes. Guisy was so gracious and helpful. At the end of our event she escorted our small group to her local grocery store since I had mentioned that visiting groceries in foreign countries is one of my passions. Then she arranged for our cab trip back to the port. I would highly recommend this tour - and ask for Guisy! Her home is right on the beach!

Mariella was our host and she was absolutely lovely! We had so much fun using the google translator which added to the authenticity of our experience. Her home is beautiful and set up very well for the cooking class and dining. Her very sweet husband John was behind the scenes putting things in the oven etc as we continued to create new dishes. Mariella made the experience fun for me, my husband, and our two adult sons. It was my husbands birthday and he said it was his favorite birthday outing. It was nice spending time with locals and pause from the traditional sight seeing rush. We loved every minute! I highly recommend you add it to your trip, and if you're lucky, you'll get Mariella.

We had the most wonderful time cooking and then sharing our meal with the Canto Family.
First of all, Giuseppe even picked us up from our hotel! We were greeted so warmly
they made us feel so welcomed, and I fell we became friends by the end of the evening.
Beautiful Rosella, taught us to make pasta from scratch, and we learned of the delicious Christmas Cookie tradition, that I intend to incorporate this Christmas with my family.
This is a must do when in Messina!

I cannot recommend this experience enough!! My husband and I were on our honeymoon, and wanted to experience a true Italian cooking class. This is that experience. We were welcomed into Daniela's home, learned about the culture, and even got to try some yummy Sicilian snacks before we dove in. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. This was the best part of our trip to Italy!!! Highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful time with Maria, we instantly felt like we were hanging out with friends we had known a long time. Her home is lovely and all of the food was excellent. I can’t wait to go home and try to make my own pasta! This was the most memorable part of our entire trip and we hope to be able to return again someday.

Mariella was amazing that's all I can say! We are a family of 5 - 2 adults _+ 3 kids ages 16, 14, and 12. We all enjoyed the food and most importantly the overall experience, process of making food, and the wonderful meal together. Mariella is a wonderful host who welcomed us into her home and gave us "the best day of our vacation".

Such a wonderful local experience! Consuelo was extremely helpful and responsive. She made it so easy to connect via coming off a cruise ship and picked us up on her own car and welcomed us into her home for the most amazing meal in our lives. We learned her families recipes and she was so kind and welcoming!

We booked this largely based upon other reviewers saying how it was the best excursion of their vacation. And now we would agree! We did this as a family and I agree with our son who said he liked that it was not touristy. We actually had to use Google translate to communicate! Our Cesarine, Mariella and her friend, Johnny were welcoming and kind but did not speak English! And it did not stop or hinder us all from learning how to make homemade stuffed raviolis and cannolis! We laughed cooked and had fun together! A truly authentic good time! Highly recommend!
