I'm so glad I signed up for this tour. I went as a solo traveler and the other people in my group were great and made the experience that much better. Our guide, Selim, was awesome. He was super nice and very knowledgeable, and from start to finish he facilitated the best experience for us. You will definitely get a variety of food, and plenty of it. Highly recommend!

This tour was an absolute highlight of our visit to Istambul. FANTASTIC!! I recommend it specially for your first or your last day in the city. I have done it on my last day. Loved it. Everything we tried was beyond delicious, the area of the city is vibrant and real (no tourists) and you learn so much!! As a valuable addition, our guides were the best!! Salih is charismatic, passionate and very knowledgable . He really fills u in with the info that matters. Its really like going out with friends.

The most amazing experience! First, the food - all thrilla no filla! Kebab, cheese, mussels, rolled Arab pizza - so many favorites! Then, the neighborhoods - we really felt like we got a sense of immersion in the locals’ city. And oh, the guide! Selim was warm, engaging, knowledgeable, and knew everyone. Possibly the highlight of our entire trip.

Our guide Silah was excellent. He went out of his way to accommodate all 11 people in our group with the biggest enthusiasm and patience. When the restaurant did not comply with his demands he made other plans. He stayed with us until he was sure our transport will take us home.
The food experience was out of the ordinary. I will strongly recommend this tour of the beaten track!

Selim was a great guide. I actually missed my scheduled tour due to horrendous traffic, yet, Selim, allowed me to join the same tour a few days later.

Although we met at the Karakoy Pier on the European side of Istanbul, we took a very relaxing ferry ride across to the Asian side where most of the tour took place. The tour consisted of several stops at street restaurants and food stores where Selim would have the proprietors serve us a variety of Turkish foods. I wish I could remember what the foods were called because, without exception, they were delightful to experience and the vast majority were delicious. We then took a ferry back to the European side where we ended the four hour tour by eating Kunefe which is shredded phyllo pastry, cheese, honey, and chopped nuts and topped with Turkish ice cream. It was pretty amazing and we all were happy and full by the end.
