We will leave the main touristy sights behind and drive away to Istanbul's less known neighborhoods and sights. The tour will partly be sightseeing and partly food sampling in different parts of Istanbul. We will start with Ortaköy neighborhood suited on the side of the Bosporus where you can put Asia and Europe in one picture.We will go little further to see Rumeli Fortresses which was part of the defense of conquering the Constantinople in 1453.
After this we will drive through the Istanbul Bosporus bridge from European side to Asian side.We will visit Beylerbeyi palace and see how the Sultans were living.We will visit the Çamlıca which the highest hill of Istanbul and a new mosque built in 2019 which is one of the biggest one in world.We will conclude the tour at the Kadıköy food market with sampling the variety of the different food which comes from different parts of Turkey. Your guide will order the food for you and make it easier to make a selection of the well chosen food you.

Istanbul is an incredible city to visit; the history, the people, the culture, and, oh the food. After two days of intense touring, this tour seemed to be just right for us. And, it was! I am a stickler for good communication in my business and no less a stickler for communication from tour operators. The folks at My Local Guide Istanbul did not disappoint. The day before and on the assigned day of the tour we received messages on WhatsApp. Our tour guide Salih arrived at our hotel exactly the time he promised. A very comfortable limo-type van was a great way to get around for this tour. Salih explained the upcoming day, (his English is absolutely excellent!), all the anticipated stops. I won't review the stops as they are listed for this tour. We did the cultural stops first, excellent descriptions, all questions answered, then we got to the food stops. He took us to local market areas that are not normally visited by (foreign) tourist. With Salih's engaging personality, we were laughing and sharing family stories in short order. I believe we recieved full value, if not more, for this tour.
