Many of this neighborhood’s charms are obvious—the architecture is stunning, the many universities add a unique vibrancy, the history is ever-present, and there are plenty of cool cafés, art galleries, and shops. This neighborhood is justly a favorite for international film shoots (who use it as a standby for other locales), and hardly a week goes by that there’s not a film being shot on these streets.
When we are not eating and drinking, we’ll stroll through the elegant area which lies between the inner and outer ring roads—including the gardens of the National Museum, where aristocrats built their palatial homes in the 19th and early 20th centuries (the golden age of Budapest), and café-lined streets with more Bohemian vibes. As per our usual style, our evening of exploration will combine food and drinks, with historical and cultural stories about the buildings and people important to the neighborhood.

A lovely evening with our guide - sorry I have forgotton your name! - adapted the tour to our preferneces and we saw much more than we would have if we had ventured out alone.

What a fabulous way to see great, authentic bars and restaurants in Budapest. The places she picked were perfect! Lelah was a very knowledgeable and fun guide too!

This was a great way to see the city and get the high points of the places to go. We were able to taste the Hungarian dishes and finish with the traditional Hungarian desserts.

What a great combination - we were lucky enough to have one guide between the two of us, she made the night, very knowledgeable, fun and took us to the largest ruin bar on the way past too - highly recommend. I booked a wine tasting for tomorrow evening for my mum and daughter but didn't realise there's a discount for returning customers so look out for that if it applies

I did the dinner walk tour by myself just before Christmas and I had a great time! It was a really nice small group, our guide Barbara was just lovely, and we had tons of delicious traditional food and wine at several different spots in close proximity. I'd definitely do another Taste Hungary tour my next time in Budapest!

What a wonderful evening - exceeded expectations. Host Angela was knowledgeable, kind and funny. The food and wine were fabulous. We visited 4 different locations - felt like a progressive dinner party through the streets of Budapest. Choice of food and wine throughout and it was wonderful moving through the districts. Great way to meet like minded travelers also. Highly recommend.

This was a great experience. We were taken to different pubs and restaurants and had the opportunity to taste several original dishes and wines. All the meals were great and our tour guide was very knowledgeable when it came to the meals and the wines also the history. Would do it again.
