In a nutshell BEST DAY YOU’ll have in DR. This was the best tour and worth every penny. Our tour guide was awesome, spoke English and translated for a couple in our group in Dutch. The food was amazing, we went to so many different spots on Soana Island and enjoyed every single one of them. All together we did 1 location to see the town, the people, have some drinks, 2 snorkel locations each with lots of ground to cover, 1 location for lunch and swimming if you want, the last stop was a “natural pool” & snorkeling to see the starfish. The tour covered every important aspect of visiting a new place, History, Culture, Food, adventure and even had some learning blocks about the turtles on the island and the ways they are working towards environmental progress and advancement for both the animals and the people. Our tour guide kept us engaged and checked on our well being the entire day. We had a photographer with us on the VIP tour he took great shots with reasonable prices to purchase after ($40). You may be tempted to wait and book with the locals for “cheaper” but you get what you pay for (the crowd, no real customer satisfaction)…trust me this tour is the better way to go. We left on time, and being on the speed boat, went past all the other tour boats to all the locations. Somehow for a tour that’s so popular we avoided all the crowds and got to really enjoy each spot to the very end. The food provided is filling and delicious, it is scheduled at an appropriate time if you eat at home before departure. It’s suitable for children and they too were kept engaged. TIPS: bring lots of sunscreen, quickly drying clothes, some towels, water shoes, sunglasses, water bottle you can refill if you want they provide cold water and sodas throughout the day. Also eat a healthy well balanced breakfast before you go. Be on time, the instructions shared before booking are correct and valid. This was the highlight of our trip to DR if you get a chance go and also visit Dominicus Beach !

Excellent tour. Really enjoyed every part of it, especially walking round the island and seeing the local village. Ingrid was so lovely and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again

We were picked up from our hotel and had a 10 minute drive to the Base. We were greeted with a warm welcome and beverages on arrival.
We got an introduction to the team and got a speedboat to the island. We encountered some rough Weather but Ingrid made sure we were all safe and still having fun "No problems only solutions".
We got the chance to see a few different spots across the island starting with the village and turtle sanctuary - We were the first group of Tourists in this area meaning it was a lot quieter than others tours are and we finished up in this area as lots of people arrived.
We did not get to see the turtles as they had not hatched however we learned a lot about the conservation project and i felt we got a more real tour of the village as it was our guide`s home away from home.
After this we went to another part of the island and had some incredible food (I had the best chicken i have ever eaten in my life).
After the food we saw the Mangroves and rockpools and got an incredibly opportunity to see the Starfish which were huge!
All in all both Ingrid and the team did a fantastic job and i could not recommend this trip enough.
Our hotel wanted us to book the Soana island trip via their agencies however Seavis offer a much more unique experience (and you get to do a lot more) and knowing that your money goes towards the conservation effort is certainly better.
If we are ever back in the DR , we will certainly be booking another Seavis Tour and thank you to all the staff for making sure we had a great day!

The tour was really great. Led by a Dutch woman named Ingrid. We went by speedboat to various islands, including Saona. When we arrived, dogs or a donkey were already waiting for us. Ingrid brought food for all the animals. We received an explanation about saving sea turtle eggs. Which means there will be more and more sea turtles every year. The island was not only very beautiful to see, but also beautiful to see how they (Ingrid and Mr. Vand Turtles) deal with animals and their well-being. We were able to relax and snorkel. Beautiful fish seen! There was plenty of food and drinks and we really enjoyed the tour and the explanation given by Ingrid. We can recommend her to everyone! English, Spanish, Dutch, German... she can do it all! Thanks for the nice tour.

The tour guide was very informative, multilingual and had a lovely demeanor. She answered questions and gave the day an extra special touch. The meal provided was tasty local cuisine. The views were amazing, the beaches clean and beautiful. It had a perfect balance of activities and relaxation.

Our family enjoyed the beautiful excursions to Saona and Catalina island. We saw a moray eel, turtles, starfish and many fish. Our guide Ingrid is one of a kind and her team is very special. The love for animals and people in particular captured us and we will never forget Ingrid and the excursions. We will definitely be back. Thanks Seavis and we hope to see you in the future!!!
