• Public transportation options are available nearby
• Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
• Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
• Children under 3 can join for free but meals will not be provided
• Minimum drinking age in Puerto Rico is 18
• Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking
• Pick-up and Drop-off is NOT included - opt for Uber!
• Puerto Rico is hot so wear light clothing and bring water to stay hydrated, although we do provide water at all our stops.
• Tour runs rain or shine!
• Please plan accordingly (allow extra time for traffic and parking, especially on weekends) and arrive 5 minutes prior to start time. Tour starts promptly. We allow an additional 5 minute grace period after the allotted start time - following that, once the guide has left the meeting location, guests may no longer join the tour. Please note we are on Atlantic Standard Time (AST) and Puerto Rico does not observe Daylight Savings.
• In compliance with the recent Executive Order, OE-2022-019, mandated by the Puerto Rican Government, we will no longer be requiring Spoon guests to present proof of vaccination cards or negative COVID-19 test results in order to participate in our experiences. The use of masks throughout the experience (while outside) will be up to the discretion of each guest and guide, however, many establishments are still requiring that masks be worn until seated. Please bring a mask with you. Thank you for your understanding as we continue to operate in and navigate these COVID-19 times!
• Food Allergies, Dietary Restrictions, and/or, Dietary Preferences: Please understand that the tasting menus developed with our partners are pre-fixed and thus, all changes must be provided well in advance. Please ensure to advise of any allergies, dietary restrictions, and, or, dietary preferences at least 48hours in advance of your experience. We are only able to make substitutions with prior notice. Some examples include: dairy free, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, no alcohol, no pork, no beef, shellfish allergy, nut allergy etc.)
• Not recommeneded for travelers with severe mobility issues since this is a walking tour in a colonial city (cobblestones and some uneven sidewalks)

The tour lets you experience San Juan by combining history and food. It’s very educational and very enjoyable also. WikiPablo was a great tour guide, his presentation of San Juan is great and fun

A lot of good historical information. Very information heavy with a few food spots. Pablo was very nice would have preferred more food and drink variety though.

10/10 - Desi, our tour guide was truly amazing. She knew her history of PR and she definitely took us to the best of the best restaurants for the best of the best coffee, Puerto Rican cuisine, sweets, and the best Pina colada I’ve ever ever had! Desi’s kind demeanor really made us feel welcomed. Great portion size of the food & drinks. I was expecting bite size portions because of previous food tours in other countries, but this tour made us feel very full and happy. Worth every penny!

Went during lunch time and the food we tried was very delicious. There was a real good variety of both food and drink that was appropriate for the time of day, and felt very local and authentic. Our tour guide Gia did a great job and was very knowledgeable and professional. Meal sizes were very well proportioned to leave you full by the end but not so full that you didn't want to try on the last stop. Also got some great recommendations for other spots to try during the rest of our trip.

We had a great time with Elliott, he was informative and attentive to the group. He shared some history of PR, sugar cane & coffee growing, international relations, you name it. All while giving us nibbles and sips of some of the most well known Puerto Rican treats. Good way to ground ourselves with Old San Juan on our first day in the area.

We went on the Old San Juan Walk & Taste Tour and were fortunate to have Pablo as our guide. He really earned the name WikiPablo, as he seemed to know everything! This was one of my top experiences in Puerto Rico, and it was a perfect way to get acquainted with San Juan. I didn’t expect to learn so much about history, agriculture, economics, and Taíno culture. And, of course, the food was amazing! My 11-year old is not the most adventurous eater, but he enjoyed almost all the food we sampled. I’d recommend Spoon (and specifically Pablo) to anyone who finds themself in San Juan.

We got to area at 9:20 for tour. We finally parked a mile away at 10:30. This was a well documented non refundable tour and was not cheap. We thought 30 minutes to find parking at a reasonable distance away was enough clearly not.

We love culinary tours — this was our fifth and by far the best. Nico was great! She was engaging, welcoming and knowledgable. We loved the food, cocktails, and history. Book this!
