Enjoy a day of nature and adventure on the north coast of the province. We will start heading to the town of Rio San Juan where you will visit the Gri-Gri Lagoon and take a relaxing boat ride observing the mangroves (flora and fauna of the National Park).
Then we will head to Caleton beach where you will have time to enjoy the beach and snorkel for 45 minutes. The next stop will be Playa Grande where you will have lunch with typical Dominican food and you will also have an hour to enjoy free time and swim in its spectacular waters.
Later we will visit the Dudú lagoon and enjoy admiring the stalactites and stalagmites of an aboriginal Taino cave. Again you will have time to dive into the crystal clear waters of Dudú Lake and you will have the opportunity to snorkel again.

I used Coming2 as my transport to and from the resort. My plan was late arriving and it was stressful because it was my first time traveling alone. My driver was really friendly and helpful especially considering I don't speak a word of Spanish!
Ramon G was really helpful with planning excursions off the resort! He was upbeat and personable and addressed all my concerns patiently! He also made some recommendations for activities and I had a blast with the buggy excursion and Coco Bongo show.
My driver was late picking me up to head back to the airport. This wasn't a huge deal because I'd scheduled an early pick up time anyways, but could have been a problem if I hadn't which is why I took off one star.
All in all, a pleasant experience.

Total scam. Don’t waste your time or money. Dirt roads, no mud at all, horrible stops to try and sell us junk… see the pics for what they look like. Cave was overpacked, buggy was held together by one bolt. Metal floor was half missing. Tire had zero thread. No waterfalls, mud, etc like website.

The buggies were so much fun. Our guide Sammy was great and we felt safe with him. Be aware there are a lot of vendors! But that was the only downfall. Other than that it was a beautiful time seeing the real DR.

We bought this through Coming2 at our resort. It was not advertised as a buggy tour but as a cave, buggy, beach, and horseback tour. The buggy we were given is not what you see in the pictures but an old metal buggy that had tape holding wires together and the motor was mounted behind our head. We asked multiple times for a different buggy, like you see in the pictures, and were told no. We were about six inches off the ground and had to sit on our beach towels to keep from burning ourselves on the hot seats. We were glasses and masks but still had so much dirt in our face that it was hard to see and breathe. Considering the majority of the time was spent in the buggy, we were miserable and I would not recommend this tour.
