Probably, this tour and experience does not give anybody pleasure. But one has to take that experience on, must try to understand how coward two dictators were in exterminating entire nations, not only the Jews. You aren't allowed to forget it - otherwise history repeats itself.

Transportation from the hotel was efficient and comfortable. Tour guide, however, took us on a whirlwind tour and didn't really give us the time needed to take in the enormity of what happened. Very little time allocated for Birkenau and next to no time given for comfort breaks or food and drink. Will visit again but as individuals rather than as part of a guided tour. Both Auschwitz and Birkenau are free to enter as designated as memorial sites.

We were contacted less than 24 hours before to advise due to lack of guides, the pick up time was brought forward to 6am. I advised we therefore did not want to proceed with time as we had an evening excursion the night before. I then asked if we could go an alternative day and if not we would require a full refund. These points were clearly ignored in the what's app message. A refund hasn't been given and the taxi driver rang my mobile phone at 6.06am waking me and my friend up when I had previously requested that this pick up was impossible. I can send screen shots of the what's app messages if required.

Pick up was easy from the centre of town.
Our guide was very informative as he shared with us the history and some stories from Auschwitz & Birkenau.

As regards the trip itself it was disappointing that there was no hotel pickup as expected. The Minivan was quite cramped, not particularly comfortable. It is a long drive there and back. Our driver was nice and efficient, however our designated tour guide had poorly accented English and was mostly repeating the same explanations multiple times (actually an advantage since it allowed us to finally grasp what he was saying! ). Our preferred time slot for the visit was 12.30 but we were informed the night before at 20.00 that we had to be at a central pick up location at 08.00 the following morning instead. Luckily it was not too far from our hotel. Auschwitz itself is worth a visit in any case.

We booked a tour to Auschwitz & Birkenau Tour with Transportation and Hotel Pickup thru our hotel. Our scheduled departure from hotel was 10:30. Three days later, in the evening before the departure we got WA message that our schedule had been moved to 6:00AM!!! No reason or appology! Tried to contact them why our booking was changed and they didnt reply.
So we went on the tour, the pick up arrived on time and travel went well although our driver didnt speak english. But she was good enough with google translate.
At the tours, it became apparent that they hadnt booked the tour at their end! Full group of english speaking tourists were assigned to polish guide and we had other extra guide doing the translations with extremely heavy accent making it hard to understand. So while walking between stops, the polish guide told the english speaker what to say at next stop. They were also in constant hurry! We passed multiple other groups and it was clear we were getting secondary tour. Other groups were taking pictures while we passed them as the guide get just repeating "hurry up, it is getting hot soon"... Well, it was morning tour so the weather was barely over 20...
The sites are impressive but cant wonder how much more we would have gained from them with proper guide and good night sleep. But mostly, be wary of the sudden changes within your booking!!!
