The National Mall is the most-visited national park in the United States. But with a myriad of routes available and comprising over 1,000 acres of green space in the heart of the nation's capital, it can be difficult to know how to make your own way across this storied expanse. On this National Mall tour, you'll follow an expert guide along a hand-curated path that will showcase some of America's most iconic and significant sites, including the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, and so much more—unlocking their little-known stories and secrets as you go. Along the way, you'll learn which is the most-filmed monument in the park, follow Dr. King's footsteps as you stand where he delivered the "I have a Dream" speech that changed history, and wrap up your experience by taking in the incredible views from the top of the Washington Monument, with hard-to-get tickets secured in advance.

We were extremely disappointed in the inability to go up the Washington Monument…..frankly the only reason we took the tour. Crap happens!

Overall the tour was great! It is a lot of walking so prepare yourself with good walking shoes. We were there in 90 degree weather so make sure you also take water and if possible a little fan to help cool you down. Joe our tour guide was great, he was patient and knowledgeable. The Washington Monument was canceled due to the extreme heat which was a huge bummer since that was one of the things I was looking forward to. However the company does not have any control over that. We still enjoyed the tour and would do it again! 😊

Alex did a great job on what turned out to be a tour for two. He shared great information about the monuments, including the history and meaning behind the movements’ design and symbols, that helped these two locals learn more about this important place. He was an engaging and knowledgeable guide whose humor and personality made the time fly by.

Alex did a great job sharing tidbits of information about each place we visited. His energy was infectious and we enjoyed our tour.
Only complaint was that it is planned as a 3 hour tour, and at 2.5 hours he advised he was needing to leave to catch a train to do his next tour. He left us at the Washington Monument waiting for our tour to the top to begin. He did not leave us tickets or anything to give to the employees, but he did speak to someone advising we were here and he was leaving, however, we had no idea if that "plan" was going to work and him saying " if any issues come up, just remind them of him in his orange jacket". That did not leave a great taste of surety in my mouth, so while standing there waiting for an hour or so to do our timed entry, (which was an hour late when we were able to finally get inside) it was windy and cold and anxiety ridden wondering if we would get to go in at all.
Thankfully it did work out and the views from the top of the Monument were amazing.
But the ending sort of ruined some of the better moments prior.
If you assigned him to another tour that interfered with him completing this tour, that is poor scheduling on the company's part, and if that was his doing, you need to know your guide is leaving groups unattended before the tour is officially finished.
