Did you know that Portugal offers exciting wines of more than 250 grape varieties, more than any other country in the world? During our experience we will taste TEN representative wines from across the country.
We will begin from the northern border with Spain with a GREEN WINE, which typically is fruity.
We will then move to the WHITE WINES and taste an exquisite and complex yet typical one from the DOURO region; right after this, we will dive into BAIRRADA and experience the freshness of the region; later, we will try a more mineral one from DÃO and we will finish the first part of the experience with a full-bodied from ALENTEJO.
Before we dive into the RED WINES I'll serve a surprise to help with the transition.
We will begin with TWO intense and full-bodied RED WINES from different regions in DOURO; after, we will try the freshness of a RED WINE from BAIRRADA and a special RED WINE from DÃO. We will finish with a RED WINE from Alentejo, which typically has a lot of structure.

Wonderful voyage around a beautiful country without leaving the table. A wonderful experience for anyone hoping to learn a little bit more about Portugal while self indulging with the most exquisite wines sunny Portugal has to offer. Amazing guide with tones of experience and good humour.

This was a great tasting experience - we sampled a wide variety of Portuguese wines, guided by a host who was knowledgeable and friendly. I can highly recommend this experience, it's a great way to become better acquainted with Portuguese wines in a relaxed and informal atmosphere!

The wine tasting experience was fantastic! When we arrived with had a bunch of wines and glasses were all laid out for us. We had a great host - great teacher, very friendly, full of life and passion for wine and teaching. He explained to us the different regions of wine in Portugal and the basics of different kinds of wine. We tried a bunch of whites, reds and even a port wine. All the wines were TOP quality so they were all really enjoyable to have. We learnt how to see the color, taste the wine, mostly it was a lot of laughing, talking and drinking.
We chose this tasting because of the sommelier experience/status of the host and the fact that it showcased a variety of wines from all over Portugal, not just Douro, not just Port wine. This turned out to be a great decision. Strongly recommended, this is definitely an experience you should sign up for!!
