The driver was friendly. The pick up from the resort was delayed. Not enough time allotted to go around and shop.

Despite the weather, the shopping tour excursion was just what we needed to end our trip. This was a birthday trip for my boyfriend and his first time to D.R. The cigar factory was educational and hands on. He was in heaven in the cigar store with so many options. The rum tasting and Cocoa tasting were fun. We left with so many exclusive D.R. items. Definitely recommend for the cigar and rum enthusiast.

Such a nice shopping experience. No pressure from vendors, could go at your own pace. They give you a little basket to walk around with and pay for everything at the end.

The cigar factory had a handful of workers and a very knowledgeable guide. You could try a cigar if so inclined. The rum tasting was a disappointment: only a Ts of rum. A drink was $5. At the Cocoa factory no one was working, but you could taste different samples of bars and the guide was knowledgeable. Souvenir shop was large with average prices. They will shuttle you to and from your resort for $5/person which I'm sure is cheaper than a taxi, but the service returns you on island time. It was worth the time but set a low bar for information. Its goal is sales.

1st they are not factories, no cigar rolling, pay for drinks except the DR mixed one and coconut. Terrible! Busses left 5 of us behind. We were told there was no room for us. They took us there, they should have brought us back. We were told another bus would be back to pick us up. After an hour, a tour bus was dropping people off and we basically begged him to get us back. He was very kind, made a call and brought all of us back. This was a very uneasy, terrible experience.

Our driver Jesus was awesome. Kind, friendly, and made sure we got a ride back after we were left sitting when everyone else was on a different bus. The tour was ok. Bought some gifts to take home. Enjoyed the rum and chocolate tasting the most for sure!

This was a great little opportunity to leave the hotel lol. The tour was to be a 2 hr but everything was done in 1 hr. The cigar ppl are so awesome and well informative with a cigar of your choice for sample (loved that). We had the liquor tasting which was also good, the coffee tasting was very short and you only taste 1 of the many options they have. The chocolate section was great! You have the option to taste all the chocolate available, you take chocolate tea & cocoa tea ( there is a difference here). It was relaxing.
