Is this your first time in Rio? So this is the best choice for you to explore all the main "Carioca" wonders.
During 8 hours, you will see the world-known "Christ the Redeemer,". We start early and get the views before the masses arrive. We will pass through the Tijuca Forest, the biggest rain forest inside a city in the world. Then straight to the Sugar Loaf, where you'll have an absolutely stunning view not only of the city of Rio de Janeiro but also Niterói and the Guanabara Bay.
We can have lunch in Ipanema, where you'll have a variety of options. You fancy a light lunch with a salad or we can go for an "all you can eat" Brazilian BBQ restaurant. In the afternoon, we will follow a less high-paced schedule. We will visit the Maracanã stadium, the stage of the 1950 and 2014 World Cups. Followed by the steps of Selaron, with colorful tiles from around the globe, the Sambadrome, where our carnival magic happens every year, and we always include a few extra's... .

The local guide Victoria really looked after the group well and was brimming with enthusiasm for her city. We found the staff at the attractions "Christ the Redeemer" and the "Sugar Loaf" very helpful. The Celeron Steps where unusual though due our poor balance we did not explore them fully as there was no handrail. Rea;;y liked the tour.

Guide was great. The first half was great but the second half is problematic:
1 Macarena stop (30+ mins drive for 3-5 mins in the blaring sun without shade for a statue, and you can't even see inside the stadium) shouldn't exist.
2 We were intially denied entry into Sao Bento (which the inside is the ONLY reason to visit. There is no explanation here.
3 Seleron streets were closed (as they could've/should have) anticipated, and we werent even able to park somewhere to walk and see it.
Even lunch is an extra $25USD (EXPENSIVE)and for carnivores and people with large appetites (buffet) which I am not, so had to scramble to find something in 45 mins and initially, thanks to closed places and incorrect orders, did not!
They should ONLY be selling half day tours during Carnival week. And NO macarena! This is a money grab. I would have rated the half day 5 stars.

Monica did a great job. She picked us up at our designated meeting spot, she took us to all of the places and gave a great explanation. She arranged a place for us to eat lunch which was very unique. And finally, she took a group photo of us and sent it to all of us.

This tour was fantastic! About 14 people on a very nice bus. Our guide was Kiko and he was very knowledgeable and spoke brilliant English and Portunol. He gave us a lot of history and was very funny. Everything was timely. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone!

Gisela met us at the cruise port, she was accompanied by a very polite and courteous driver in a very comfortable executive car.
We had a fabulous day touring with her. She was very intuitive to our needs and curiosity about Rio. She was very knowledgable and good fun. She managed to make us understand what life was like in Rio.
We also did a second day with Gisela who then safely returned us to Rio’s airport.
I can highly recommend Gisela and if you are also interested in Jewish Rio, as we were, she incorporates that too in her tour .
I shall certainly be recommending Gisela to my friends in London. In fact my two days in Rio were the best part of my two week holiday, thanks to Gisela!

The tour was awesome. The problem was that the cathedral, which was part of the tour, was closed. I have to mention that we were the only participants who had to personally get tickets for the Christ Redeemer entrance while the rest of the group were purchased by the tour guide which made us feel out of place.

Although I found the tour a little pricey for not having certain entrance fees included, the tour guide Vincent made up for it. Him being a native Brazilian with a very good understanding of how the country's history has shaped the country the way it is today, everyone felt like he was very informational. Some topics in the history we discussed were deep but it is exactly what I like to learn from a native tour guide. The tour guide was also very animated and inclusive to everyone on the trip. We also arrived so early to Christ the Redeemer that I was so shocked by the small amount of people that were there. Definitely would recommend this tour to get a good gist of Brazils history and politics.

Overall a good tour. There was a mixup on the pickup location which they apologized and we're able to reschedule.

Grate tour!! Always on time!! Our guide for the day Gisela was so nice and knowledgable about everything we asked, always friendly and ready to take our picture. They took us first thing in the morning to see Christ the redeemer so that we could avoid crowds and had the place all to our selves! They gave us plenty of time in every attraction to enjoy, and time for lunch with grate suggestions in Ipanema. The driver drove safely, managing the heavy traffic in a grate way. Overall a grate tour, would recommend it to any first timer in Rio, and also everyone who hasn’t that much time to stay, this tour shows you all you need to see! Grate value for money!
