Split Cooking Classes are great for all levels and lovers of food and they are designed to give you an authentic taste of Croatian cuisine. Your class will include a vegetable and fish market tour where we will buy our ingredients from the local producers and fishermen (NOTE: classes are also available without the vegetable and fish market tours).
Back in the kitchen, we start the cooking process by tasting local wines and liqueurs and then switching on the tunes while our award-winning chef helps you to prepare the amazing meal. All of our chef instructors have worked in some of the best restaurants in Croatia as well as in Europe so as to give you the most professional cooking experience. You will be learning from some of the best food experts in Croatia!
At the end of your class you will enjoy the meal that you have worked to prepare. Food and wines are included in the price.

The cooking class was exceptional. The chef was extremely knowledgeable of Croatia. He guided us through the markets before we entered the kitchen. The organization of cooking a complete meal from the bread to the crème caramel, including cleaning the fish, was superb! We even made the fish stock for the risotto! This was a very nice way to spend the morning and have lunch. The visit to the fish market is particularly interesting for those of us who have a much more limited array of fish available to us. Learning to clean the fish is an important skill. Our teacher was quite patient with us. We highly recommend it.

My husband and had never taken a cooking class before and this was so much fun, very informative and delicious! The staff was super friendly. Shopping in the local produce and fish market added to the experience. We were grouped with another family and all got to take part in the food preparation. Plenty of wine was served and the Croatian food was delicious.

I went with my granddaughters and they loved it. Our instructor was kind, funny, knowledgeable and very patient with all of us. We had a wonderful time and are very happy we attended!

We had an amazing experience with the chefs at Split Cooking School! 4 hours of fun, we prepared a huge meal from scratch, from apps to dessert, including home made bread. The chefs coached the whole way, we learned so much about Croatian cooking. We started with an aperitif, enjoyed local wine throughout and even made fresh seafood stock for the risotto. I cannot recommend this experience enough, it was a highlight of our trip.

fantastic experience! the chef i worked with was very friendly and walked me through the cooking experience. she made sure i was getting the practical knowledge of the courses we made. while cooking, she provided a lot of background and cultural significance of what we were making why. an all around great experience!

We were greeted with homemade liqueurs, local wines, and tasty local cheese, meat, fish. We then got to work making a fabulous spread including fresh bread, creme caramel, a variety of vegetables, and several fish dishes. Our favorite was the seafood risotto. Ivana and Bruna were so friendly and informative. We had a super fun evening eating, chatting, and cooking. (We had a dinner class - so we did not go to the markets together. But, we did visit them on our own earlier in the day). Highly recommend!

Our family enjoyed the Split Cooking Class on our last day in the city & it was the highlight of our stay there. Ivana & Bruna were great teachers (along with Lovre & Martina as helpers) & what a feast they helped us create! So much food, the tables were groaning! We had fish cooked 3 different ways, lots of vegetables, freshly cooked bread (can't wait to make it again at home), and creme caramel. We heartily recommend this experience to anyone visiting Split - you gain a much deeper appreciation for the wonderful people of Croatia & their food.

It was a great experience, from buying the fish in the fish market and the vegetables in the produce market, to learning how to prepare different Croatian specialties.
Peter was a patient, lovely host and teacher and we had a great time.
We highly recommend this cooking class to add to your Croatian experience.

Zeljko took us on a tour of Split old town as we went to the vegetable market and then through the palace to the fish market. We learned about the history of Split. We also learned about the local food etc. We walked to the nice professional kitchen and was greeted with refreshment and nice snack. He then got us working to cook for our lunch which was a 8 course affair. We cleaned fish, shellled shrimp, cut vegetable and made bread. It was a great time and we had an amazing lunch. Highly recommended.
