We start the tour with a short funicular ride. The Polybahn takes us up from Central to the panorama terrace in front of the main building of the Federal Institute of Technology in just three minutes. Here you will enjoy superb views of the city and you will learn interesting facts about ETH, education, science, and innovation in Switzerland.

Discover the cultural and natural sides of Zurich during this 5 - 6 hours tour by walking in a small group and by using excellent public transport. Enrich your knowledge about Switzerland's business and cultural capital while listening to your guide pointing out the highlights of this unique town. While strolling around we will focus on Bahnhofstrasse - Zurich's main downtown street and one of the world's most expensive shopping avenues; Limmatquai - a vibrant dining area with many interesting Guild houses; Lindenhof - a former roman settlement and toll; St. Peter Church - one of the four main churches in Zurich whose clock face is the largest in all of Europe; Fraumünster - famous for its Chagall Windows, Grossmünster Church - the icon of Zurich and the place where Reformation has begun; ETH - whose most famous former student and professor are Albert Einstein and other 20 Nobel Prize laureates; The house where Lenin was living before returning to Russia for leading the revolution.

Lindenhof is an oasis at the heart of the city. This glorious park has been known since the year 80 BC and is regarded as the origin of Zurich’s history. Thanks to its great view it’s also an ideal location for a great photo opportunity.

After the city tour and the short hike on the local little mountain, we are heading back to Zurich by boat. We will enjoy a 45 min cruise on Lake Zurich and talking about the chocolate while passing nearby Lindt Chocolate Factory and will admire one of the most expensive areas of the Lake Zurich, where celebrities as Tina Turner are living.

After the city walking tour, we will continue with a journey to the local little mountain Uetliberg or Felsenegg to experience a short aerial cable car OR train ride and enjoy breathtaking views. This is a popular recreational area for the locals living in and around Zurich and offers incredible views overlooking Zurich, the lake, and the snow-capped Alps. We will experience a short hike on a special trail called "Planetweg" which represents our solar system on a reduced scale and will enjoy the fresh air of the beautiful forest before heading back to Zurich by boat.
6.
Uetliberg - "The Top of Zurich" is the alternative for Felsenegg, in case the weather conditions are not permitting to visit it or if the cable car is not operating due to technical maintenance.

The Zurich walking tour was more than expected. I tend to read quickly when I make travel plans - I was pleasantly surprised that I booked a “good one”! I was in the June 30 tour. I was running late, but the company was able to get me to the correct train platform to meet the guide. We actually took a brief train ride to a place where we could climb a hill and look down on Zurich and the surrounding area. The air was really clean up at this higher altitude! The next phase of the tour was walking! The tour guide did an excellent job keeping are walking tour on a steady pace. Naturally, we stopped several times to look at the most interesting sites. The tour guide was both educational and humorous at the same time - This makes for an excellent tour guide! The boat tour around Lake Zurich ended the tour. The boat tour lasts about 90 minutes! The boat docks up several times to pickup people - This is a ferry boat, but the dock locations are pretty! The guide was very friendly! Everyone on our tour seemed to like our tour guide!

A comprehensive walking tour of the oldest and most picturesque parts of Zürich, with just the right amount of information about our surroundings. Our tour guide, Greg, was engaging and enthusiastically delivered the narrative at just the right pace.
The 45 min boat trip allowed us to relax before the cable car to the beautiful Felsenegg from which there are amazing panoramic views of the city and lake. Not to mention being a tranquil spot to hike or have a drink. I’d heartily recommend this tour.

Our walking tour of Zurich with Greg was nothing short of extraordinary. Greg is an exceptional tour guide, seamlessly blending entertainment with rich cultural insights throughout the journey. The tour was impeccably timed, starting and ending precisely as scheduled. We meandered through the charming Old Town of Zurich, experienced a scenic tram ride, cruised the serene waters of Lake Zurich, and ascended via cable car to the breathtaking Felsenegg. Being new to Zurich and the culture, and my first time here as an American tourist, I thought Constantine did a wonderful job explaining the community of the past and present. So interesting! This was a very good tour to see many different parts of Zurich and would definitely do it again. It is a walking tour and be ready to walk! You walk inclines too; so it is best to be in good shape for that. There were a few folks in the tour who were not ready for that, and had to bow out of a few activities. The aerial cable car had stunning views and the summit so peaceful! This was my first Viator tour and I will definitely book another! Constantine, thank you for the introduction to Zurich and the hospitality!

Constantine was delightful and gave lovely insights into Swiss culture, we all enjoyed the trip. The lake is beautiful and the cable car ride gave us fabulous views helped by a beautiful blue sky day.
