Ricardo, our driver and guide was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable.
Ricardo made the drive from Porto comfortable, educational and entertaining. The wine tasting at Quinta Seara d’Ordens vineyard was a great experience. Miguel our vineyard guide was passionate and made us feel welcomed at this family owned and operated winery. Lunch at a local family run restaurant was delicious with an abundance of food and drink and a spectacular backdrop. The boat ride along the Douro river in the solar powered electric boat with David and his sister Maria was the perfect way to cap off the afternoon.
Our return to Porto was made smooth and relaxing thanks to Ricardo’s care and experience.

The day tour had everything. Breathtaking landscapes, delicious, authentic local food and the best wine I ever had. Detours was very forthcoming. They made the tour possible, even though I was the only client. My guide, Ricardo was very knowledgable, friendly. He made this day special for me. Not only did I learn about the famous port wine, but also about Porto and Portugal as a whole. I would do it again.

Our guide Lago was efficient, professional, friendly and very knowledgeable about the region of Douro, as well the process of growing grapes and wine making. His skill in driving, his giving of information and his amazing knowledge made this a tour to remember. We found this tour to be absolutely worthwhile and a great value. Highly recommended!

The views were exceptional, the venues , the wines, the food our guide Ana made for a perfect day! We were greeted warmly, felt as if we learned many interesting facts about the region and the history. Well worth spending a day on this tour! Thank you Ana!
