My husband and I took this trip in June 2024 as part of our first visit to Porto. Ana, our guide, was beyond anything I could have ever wanted or expected. She was knowledgeable about everything in the area and made us feel like we were on a trip with an old friend. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour and Ana to anyone I know visiting Porto

Fantastic day out! Ana, our guide, was brilliant - a great driver (especially the off-road bits!), very personable, knowledgeable and professional. The boat trip from Pinhão was lovely - a relaxing way to start the tour. The off-roading was incredible and something that wouldn't be achievable without being on a tour such as this. The vineyard we were taken to was fabulous - a small place where personality and quality are key. We had a fabulous picnic - simply delicious food in the most amazing location. Little touches like a table cloth on the table, a bag of cherries and local food were delicious.
All in all a fantastic day out. Thanks Ana! We'll use and recommend Detours again, without doubt.

If you only have time to complete one tour in Porto - please do this one. From booking until the end of the experience, the service was exemplary. Ana was outstanding and a brilliant guide.

We did a private jeep tour in the Duoro Valley yesterday. Our guide was Miguel, and he was outstanding. He had just the right balance of giving us lots of interesting information without overdoing the "history lessons" and was a lot of fun to be with. It was like doing a trip with a friend with a great sense of humor who knows the area really well. The trip included plenty of stops to take pictures and Miguel was very flexible with the schedule and the itinerary. We had a wonderful picnic lunch in the middle. It was all very professionally organized and we had a sensational day. If you have one day to see the stunning Duoro Valley (and you shouldn't miss this incredible area) the it will definitely be a highlight of your trip. I highly recommend this private tour.

Pedro( our guide) was fantastic. The moment he met us at the hotel we knew we were in great hands. It was one of the best tours we’ve done. Visiting the Douro Valley on this tour is a must. Getting to see the vineyards from many perspectives and learn about the wines and port in the region was such a treat. The picnic that we had was one of the best meals we’ve eaten and prepared by a local woman owned business. We loved hanging out with Pedro for the day. I cannot say enough great things about this tour and Pedro.
