Iceland: South Coast Private Tour, Glaciers, Waterfalls & more

Thank you so much to the guys at 2Go Iceland for making our family trip to Iceland so amazing. From our first contact with Carlos by email, all questions and queries were fully answered and suggestions made by him on possible alternatives. Back up plans put into place. Even a very late adjustment on our first day switching from the blue lagoon to the sky lagoon due to the local air quality. All communication was concise and speedy, all the way through to payment and sharing of whatsapp numbers. Once we had arrived at Keflavik airport we met up with Gudni and he was a delight from the first meet to the drop off, 7 days later. As a group of 6, we chose a mini van pick up from the airport for delivery to Reykjavik. Gudni was extremely accommodating, taking us to a local cafe (amazing salmon roll and chocolate buns) and then taking us to the blue lagoon (even though we had switched to the sky lagoon) with a short stop to view the eruption site. Gudni pointed out many points of interest and fielding questions from us all from with no topics out of bounds (London taxi drivers have competition here!). After the amazing sky lagoon, Gudni then took us to a local supermarket and walked around translating for us to stock up on food for the week (interesting family dietary requirements). We felt very well looked after, as this was our first experience of Iceland. We had plenty of suggestions on what activities to participate from both Gudni and Carlos who had stayed in contact by WhatsApp. We had booked the Golden Circle tour on Monday and the Southern coast road tour on Wednesday and Gudni looked after us for both these trips. Very genuine, well travelled and full of enthusiasm. Gudni with headset on and volume turned up so all the fam ears could here, off we went to the adventures, too many to mention!. Geezer, secret lagoon, crater, geothermal activity, tomato farm, waterfalls. Wednesday had two big requests, diamonds and puffins. We managed both along with seals, boat ride at the lagoon. Gudni driving was safe and very considerate on the trips to our pace. The tours were amazing. Our last day, being transferred by Gudni back to the airport. Great communication and wonderful service. I would wholeheartedly recommend 2GoIceland. Phil

Carlos crafted a four day trip that included a volcano hike, the Golden Circle tour, the South Coast Tour, Reykjavik city insights and airport transfers. Gudni then delivered a very personal experience and shared both his extensive knowledge and an obvious passion for both the island and his work. The itinerary and its' execution was faultless and has likely changed how we will choose to travel going forward.

Booked a private tour from our cruise ship, because the cost was so much more reasonable. We booked with a company called “Your Day Tours” who were very good. They spoke good English and were very easy to deal with. The minibus arrived on time and we were greeted by our tour guide Anna who was excellent. She spoke excellent English was very knowledgeable and took us to a couple of places which the larger tour companies tend not to visit. It was a long day and well worth a visit which covered a couple of waterfalls, geysers and The National Park which includes the tectonic plates and no man’s land between Europe and North America.
