Everything was great. Except the food was a bit bland with one of the potato dishes. It tasted too flourier

Very welcoming and interesting cultural experience. The best food in New Zealand. Lots of it. The ambient, the explanations, the music, the dance and everything was just perfect. Worth every second of it.

This was a great experience and introduction to Maori history. The presentations were extremely well done and provided insight into not only some of the cultural history of the Maori in New Zealand but also their interactions with Europeans. The "show" for lack of a better term was fun to watch and captivating. A part I really enjoyed was the enthusiasm with which each presenter demonstrated the skill sets and how they were honed - great time and while I do not have children I think this would be great for adults and kids. Also, the evening walk included some glow worm viewing - I love glow worms. The dinner with traditional foods was excellent.

The whole experience was amazing especially walking through the rain forest and seeing the glow worms. The entertainment was wonderful and learning about their ancestral background and the history of the different tattoos. We really enjoyed it!

Hungi, haka, glow worms and cultural performance all in one. We did the evening session with 2 adults and 3 kids aged 11-13. Good food, good entertainment and an insight into Māori culture. Yes it’s touristy, but we’re tourists.

Even though it was raining this night was still amazing. The family running this experience make it so memorable and fun.
The food we had from the hungi was delicious and so much, plenty for everyone. We also had a night walk to see the long boats come through the river, but my most favourite part was watching them perform the Haka!!
Definitely recommend this tour.
