The reasons for those interested in Japanese kitchen knives to choose this tour are you will:
① Go right to the right stores without any prior research or wandering.
② Rely on the guide in terms of providing candid and neutral feedback as you listen to the sales pitch by the store clerks
③ Enjoy our flagship in-depth Asakusa tour prior to the store visits

After having an in-depth Asakusa history tour, we will take you to the Kappabashi Street adjacent to Asakusa, a shopping street lined with dozens of stores selling everything needed by restaurant operators. Obviously, the Japanese kitchen knives are the mainstay of the products handled by them. The street has several stores specialized in kitchen knives; since they have a full lineup of the products, you will have the best chance to find some which you are genuinely looking for.

For groups of three or more, we will use an earphone guide system which enables you to clearly listen to the guide from a distance.

The tour was fantastic! The guide is very knowledgeable and explained the history of the places thoroughly throughout the tour. I am also very happy with my knife purchase.

We had a wonderful tour of Asakusa with our tour guide Aki, who shared both the cultural history and great local insights. She also helped us source and buy some beautiful knives from Kappa-bashi street. We’d recommend this tour to anyone, especially at the beginning of your trip. Aki gave us great tips on other areas to visit throughout Tokyo….. so we are staying another day to for more in!
