Experience a full-day Mount Batur volcano sunrise trekking with experienced local guide.
Mount Batur Volcano is an active volcano located at the Bangli regency, Bali - Indonesia. According to Hindu beliefs, Mount Batur is a sacred mountain with 1,717 meters (5,633 feet) above sea level.
You will reach the summit in around 2 hours for physically fit hikers and slightly longer for others. Hiking up the volcano and enjoying the sunrise from the top will be one of your best experiences in Bali.

The hike itself is doable with decent fitness level. The viewpoints are amazing!

This is very difficult for untrained hikers. We took the easy route, as far as you find it easy. This one involved scrambling up and was very heavy.
Once you reach the top you will receive a breakfast consisting of banana bread and eggs. The sunrise is a true spectacle and very beautiful.
We took a motorcycle ride on the way back because we didn't fancy walking the way back. You pay €15 per person for this ride, ridiculously expensive, but they know you don't want to walk anyway.
We saw the few who did walk fall several times and come down with various abrasions.
Conclusion nice view but not worth the tour

We had a great tour with Bali Sun Tours!

The tour that combines adventure and amazing nature with the view. It is amazing feeling when you are at the top of active volcano, in addition to that you have an amazing view of the sunrise! The tour was well organized, I had pick up from the hotel with Wira (he was my driver for the whole stay in Bali), once we reached the place, I was introduced to my tour guide, who took me up to the volcano. Both driver and tour guide were very attentive to my requests and needs.
The main recommendation is to take warm clothes, the temperature on too is not low, however it the wind was strong and cold.

Our 2am start was so worth it!! This experience was just beyond words and so glad we did it. The private tour and our tour guide sharing stories along the way made the whole journey memorable. The views at the summit... amazing!
