O projeto "Fado by Casa da Guitarra" pretende oferecer-lhe a essência deste género musical num serão de encantamento e deslumbramento. Durante o concerto de uma hora, você entrará em contato com elementos culturais portugueses únicos - Fado, instrumentos tradicionais portugueses de cordas e vinho do Porto - todos profundamente relacionados à história portuguesa.
A actuação do fado decorre num ambiente intimista, geralmente com um ou dois cantores, acompanhados por um guitarrista português e por guitarristas (tocando uma viola de fado). Um tradicional vinho do Porto será servido durante o intervalo para completar a noite e será oferecido um postal ilustrado, contendo alguma explicação sobre a essência do Fado.
É aconselhável chegar 10 minutos antes.

Absolutely recommended. Musicians and singers (male and female) gave a show that was worth more than the asking price!
I would go back there every evening. And the decor of the house is symbolic and apropos!

Magnificent fado concert at the “casa da guitarra”; 4 musicians and 2 singers (alternating) made us experience and feel for about 1 hour all the emotion that this emblematic music of Portugal provides.

Great experience! The small size of the venue gave it an intimate ambience, and we were lucky enough to have both a male and a female performance, so I would definately recommend!

What a lovely evening of Fado! The music and singing were so enjoyable and the pace of the evening is just right — five or six songs, a short intermission w beverages, and then another five or six songs.

This was the 4th Fado show on our trip through Portugal, and it was fabulous! Unlike the other shows we attended that featured 2 guitars (Portuguese & Classical) this also had a 2nd guitar and an upright bass, creating a very full sound. There were 2 Fado singers, a man and a woman, with very distinctive styles, both evoking strong emotions. My husband and I both had moments that brought tears to our eyes. Like in jazz, there is an improvisational element in Fado that worked beautifully with this group of talented artists. The venue is a guitar shop, very intimate with great acoustics, and you are surrounded by guitars. Bellisimo!

Beautiful guitar, and singing by two very different singers. Crowd participation and lovely songs were much more upbeat than I had expected. Very enjoyable
