João was the perfect host. Every detail was well thought out, including the music, which always sets the mood! The appetizers, dinner, wine, and of course, the conversation all made for an amazing evening. It’s a fun way to meet new people and learn about each others’ backgrounds and experiences. This was one of our favorite memories of our trip, and we left having made some new friends.

Jaoa and his partner Matt were excellent hosts. The food, drinks, and conversation were great! It was an unique experience to be able to have a nice dinner with someone and hear their local perspective.

The entire experience was magical - the food, the setting, the conversation and the company. I would highly recommend this as a way to experience a dining experience like no other while visiting Porto. The booking was easy and the communication was seamless. It was a PERFECT evening. Dinner at João's house was incredible: great food and great people! The house is very cozy, beautifully decorated with lots of plants. We had good conversations over sangria and wine, accompanied by some good appetizers, followed by a delicious dinner. I met really nice people at João's house, it was an unforgettable experience. If you are in Porto, I recommend going to João's dinner!

The dinner at João’s was such a nice experience! Delicious food, a warm and cozy environment and great people. João is the best host, super friendly and with such meaningful conversations. I am a local, I live in Porto, but I would for sure repeat this experience once again.

Well, it's hard to express what such a night I had there with my friends. João is very welcoming; his house is so cosy and the food, oh my god, is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend and I'm pretty sure I'll do it again as soon as I reach Porto once again. Don't miss this opportunity to have a real Amazon meal in Portugal.
