During this experience, you will cook authentic Mexican dishes with your host Lucía in her spacious home kitchen and learn some of her favorite cooking tips and techniques! Lucía can cook a wide variety of Mexican dishes, from traditional family recipes passed down through generations of home cooks, to modern dishes using fresh, local ingredients.
Your menu will be based on the season and might include dishes like potato leek soup, albondigas en salsa de chile chipotle mecos (meatballs in a smoked chili sauce), sopa de nopalitos (cactus paddles in bean broth), fideo soup (Mexican noodle soup), traditional moles (savory meat dishes cooked in spice and chili sauce) and chile en nogada (stuffed poblano chilies, smothered in creamy walnut sauce).

My wife and I had an amazing time cooking with Lucia. She was warm and welcomed us to her home. We were running late and texted her and she informed us that it was a private class and to take our time getting there.
We wound up making quesadillas, sopas, 2 different salsas, chile rellenos and a cactus dessert. It was all so delicious! We had fun banter with Lucia about food, family, etc. 100% would recommend!

I loved this experience - perfect way to kick off our Mexico City trip! Lucia did a wonderful job creating a diverse menu for us with high quality ingredients and conversation- we made salsa verde, quesadillas, stuffed peppers, and a guava dessert from scratch and enjoyed her beautiful garden over lunch. I will definitely be making the salsa again!! Probably the best meal we had in Mexico City :)

Cooking with Lucia was a great experience! I definitely recommend her class. We had amazing food in a beautiful home. She was also kind enough to help us find our way to the San Angel where there is a great market, restaurants and the Diego Riviera studio.

My mom and I always book a cooking class when we travel and this was top tier! I really recommend this class. It’s very fun and in a beautiful home. Lucia is wonderful and even helped us with getting directions to a near by market in San Angel. Book this class!!

Lucia is such a warm and wonderful person. She welcomed us into her home and it felt like cooking with an old friend. The dishes were delicious and we got to enjoy them in her beautiful garden. She is well traveled and very knowledgeable about Mexican cuisine. Highly recommend this cooking class!

Our host was charming, and her knowledge of the food of Mexico was fantastic. We cooked wonderful food, and enjoyed meeting Lucia, and eating our delicious lunch on her lovely terrace, surrounded by flowers and orange trees. Five star experience!

My family had an amazing experience cooking mouthwatering Mexican dishes under masterful guidance of Lucia in her charming home. We shared stories, laughs, and amazing meal. I’m afraid quesadillas are forever ruined for me as I’m unlikely to find quesadillas that would taste as fantastic as the ones we made as a group. We received a lot of cooking tips that are easily transferable to home cooking. It was very nice seating outside on the patio having the meal that we all prepared. It was a lifetime memory for my family that we will cherish forever. Very grateful to have had this incredible cooking experience. Highly recommend.

Lucia shared food history and insights into culture of life in Mexico. She is an excellent cook and teacher. Her kitchen is a delight and the experience of being in her beautiful home and garden was magical. This is a must do experience!

Highly recommend this experience! We have taken cooking classes before in other areas and Lucia was wonderful. She was so welcoming and very knowledgeable about cooking and the history of Mexico City (education system, healthcare, ect). Amazing food and her home was incredible. You won’t be disappointed! Only note is use the address provided not the Google maps address as It takes you to a different location.
