MUST BOOK! The private tour is 100% customizable to your preferences and a very well organized tour. As a solo-woman, I was picked up from the airport by Vicky (the driver) and taken to meet the tour guide for Delhi. After the Delhi tour he drove me to Jaipur. Mr. Vicky was professional and very open to having conversations about the area. All three tour guides (Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra) were very well informed and helpful. I felt safe the entire trip. My trip was seamless and I left with a lifetime worth of memories. Thank you for the amazing experience!

Where to begin (apologies this is a LONG REVIEW but I believe it deserves it - take a read if you would like a bit of additional detail and some tips on the tour). This trip was absolutely brilliant!! We booked our holiday to Delhi with quite short notice so wanted an option that would leave us not having to make lots of individual bookings for hotels / driver / guides etc. This tour absolutely nailed it!

Amit contacted us prior to arrival to make some of the final arrangements with us (where and when we would like collecting from) and also sent me over a PDF with some useful information (recommended tip amounts, customisation options etc.). We also wanted to make some changed mid-trip which Amit was extremely attentive about; initially we were going to add a Safari visit on to the tour, however rather than just take our money and let us run with it Amit checked the availability for the Zones within the national park that we were interested in and came back me within the hour to actually talk me out of what would likely have just been an expensive and tiring addition (it was too hot and the ideal zones were not available) - We appreciated his honesty and putting customer service above profiteering - so extended our time in Jaipur (recommend doing this if you have the time) the price for the extension was very reasonable, we switched hotel though as we weren't feeling the Hilton that much and wanted to experience staying in a Haveli.

Our Driver was Annu - Great driver and nice guy! Good conversation and everything ran at our pace - when we needed privacy it was available, when we wanted to have a good chat it was there. He was a great driver, extremely safe and competent at handling the road situations, which if you're used to UK / Australia / USA / Europe etc. driving conditions can be "different".

We asked Annu to take us out in the evening on our extended day in Jaipur and he was happy to oblige, driving us to places that we wanted to visit, changing times at our leisure and nothing at all was too much trouble - He took us to an amazing viewing point above Jaipur and also taking us to a Shiva Temple to experience worship in the evening (at our request), he pointed out things of interest when driving - some of which we would have missed. Nothing was too much trouble and he is an absolute credit to the company! The Car was large, comfortable and extremely well kept with water and snacks available at all times as well.

All of our Guides were brilliant and gave us so much information about each location that we visited, we learnt things that we would have missed had we not had them around and despite not opting to have one of the professional photographers at the Taj Mahal (Something that I believe is an excellent and well-priced option if you want some pictures btw) all of the guides either took some amazing photos of us or gave us advice on some of the most amazing angles that we would have possibly missed.

Delhi Guide - Kuldeep
Agra Guide – Manoj
Jaipur Guide – Pratik

Hotels were great – Jaypee Palace in Agra & Hilton in Jaipur, the rooms we had were brilliant (Particularly Jaypee), and the standard of service was exceptional – there was definitely no holding back with these, and credit to Amit for selecting good hotels.

A Few tips:

Delhi – take this at your own pace, there is a fair bit to see but we pushed our collection in the morning back a bit as we were quite late in the night before – we were still able to see everything and get everything done that we wanted to, we wanted a restaurant recommendation in the evening (in Agra) and Annu recommended a nice restaurant which was well priced, clean and good food!

Agra – get up early!! I think we were collected at 5 or 5:30 - If you beat the crowds to the Taj Mahal it is so worth it, the weather is cooler, the sun rising there is spectacular, the photos you will get without loads of people in them are great. There is a “shopping trip” here – which essentially is a visit to a small factory that makes marble ornaments, boards, table-tops and coasters.

Jaipur – A great day with lots to see in this beautiful city. be VERY CAREFUL of the hawkers / street sellers around the Amber fort – no aggression but their goods are REALLY overpriced and they can be a bit in-your-face if you’re not used to it – literally ignore them or a stern NO and they will leave you alone pretty quickly (we did buy some paintings from one on the way out though as they were excellent; haggling is essential – and we did over-pay but sometimes you have to do this – people need to make a living and it’s art!!). Shopping trips – a visit to a jewellery store that hand cuts and polish gemstones – really interesting to watch, with ZERO pressure to buy anything – good to get some information on the local jewellery making traditions. 2nd shopping visit – a textile maker that shows you (and lets you have a go) the traditional way of printing on cotton (block printing) – interesting to learn about a local speciality trade - again v. pricey - recommend Mona Prints in Bapu Bazaar for fair fixed prices.
When visiting the Amber fort – you have the option of an elephant ride or car – we did the car, which allowed time to add a quick stop elsewhere on to the day which I believe was Jal Mahal or a step well. If you’re concerned about animal welfare (which was our reason for saying no) – we made a few enquiries with a few people about the elephants and their living conditions – they are very well looked after; very limited amount of trips allowed per day (2 in the summer I believe) and they receive monthly vet visits, are fed well and retired younger than is necessary – this is government controlled and inspections do occur, wouldn't feel too bad about taking the elephant ride if we were there again.

Advice on the shopping trips – Do them, but be aware that the guides are 99% likely to be getting a kick-back if you buy and they are overpriced, it's just part of game to be honest, we still bought some things.

You get to see different ways that things are made, techniques used and learn about very specific crafts that have been passed down for generations however you must be aware that they are aimed at tourists and prices are high, you have to be comfortable with saying no and not buying things if you don’t want them, we did buy a few things, including an expensive (in my opinion) item in the marble factory, however we haggled hard and still paid less than equivalent items are available online - haggle, and if they say no start to leave; the discussion re-opens pretty quickly then! They were quite low pressure with sales (most of them) compared to some of the markets you can visit separately and if you say no and leave with nothing – what are they going to do?....NOTHING. it is an opportunity to see something new - as a westerner visiting India you're going to get high prices chucked at you everywhere anyway, as a rule of thumb we thought "how much would this be at home" and then used that as our guide for where we thought prices should be vs at home. especially with Jewellery - obviously that can get pricey, learn the going rate beforehand.

Highly recommend this trip!

An excellent tour , made punctually , safely and hassle free by our excellent driver Paramjeet (Param) . Param is an absolute gentleman who caters to your every need . A constant supply of bottled water was provided by Param and you just ask him to stop whenever you need to . No need to be concerned about anything with Param at the wheel . The tour also had 3 super knowledgeable guides in Nitin, Manoj and Naveen. They were all excellent and sociable and made each tour easy for us to enjoy . We booked the 5 star hotel tour and all the hotels were great value for the price we paid .
If you are thinking of booking this tour you will not be disappointed.

He was kind and helpful and made the journey so pleasant. All of the local tour guides we had were very friendly and had great information. Our tour guide in Agra was also an amazing photographer and took great photos of us at the Taj Mahal which was awesome. The hotels were all very nice (especially the Jaypee Palace in Agra) and have great breakfasts. Thank you for an amazing trip!

A wonderful tour, wish it lasted longer! Devender was a marvelous driver and quiet, steady presence throughout, bringing us to our destinations with plenty of cold water and offers for stops along the way. Each of our tour guides was unique, knowledgable, and friendly - even in the heat we all endured. This proved to be a wonderful structure - a skilled driver and individual, expert guides - that we will certainly look for again.

This has got to be the best run and well organised Golden Triangle Tour in Delhi. Starting from first contact with the Owner Amit, you are assured of your journey and he is available 24/7 to answer and questions and help in any way possible. Taking the 3, 4 or 5 day tour, the experience is all the same, Excellent with Professionalism through-out. I chose to stay 5* rather than 4* as there is very little difference in price.

My driver Rajinder was as good as you could get. He was skillful, careful and explained things to me aling the way. He always had water or drinks to offer and always included me in the days planning. This really is a personalised tour, you can chop or change any part of the suggested itinerary and even exclude any stops you don't want to do. There is absolutely zero pressure from the driver or the guides for you to do any of the shopping stops although they are always offered in case you would like to. All three of my city guides were excellent, well spoken and very informed about tge cities they represent. Naveen in Delhi, Arif in Agra and Mukesh in Jaipur, thank you all so much for making this a most memorable trip.

Entry fees are exactly as quoted in a welcome pack given to you when the driver picks you up. Tips are suggested to take away any concerns so you can budget. The guides help you to avoid street vendors who will try to sell you things you don't want. On the drive between cities, the driver stops for lunch. You can choose to eat or not eat. I found the stop between Agra and Jaipur to be pricey even for a foreigner, but tge food was very good as i chose to eat and try something local and different.

I met other visitors on both the 3 day and 5 day tour with Crystal India Holidays and i can safely say that no matter which one you choose to do, they all offered a high quality of service, were very interesting and educational and did not disappoint at all. I'm not sure how one could be disappointed after seeing the Taj Mahal, but Delhi and Jaipur have their own special attractions. Thank you to all for making my Solo trip feel as though i was travelling with family.

This four day Golden Triangle tour was a follow-on trip after 20 days in Bhutan. Because of flying in and out of Delhi, it was the perfect opportunity to see some of the most famous sites in India. "While, I'm in the neighborhood..."

Amit, the company owner was a great point of contact and I really appreciated prompt communication through Viator and direct via WhatsApp. Really put my mind at ease. My driver Manohar spend the four days with me and was a great driver and great company on the long drives between cities. He was always right on time, exceptionally courteous and seemed to understand what I found interesting or photo worthy along the drives.

My guide in New Delhi--Rahul--was simply amazing. Personable, fun loving and very knowledgeable about the sites we saw. Its obvious he loves his job and the city where he lives. Delhi was such an unexpected pleasure to visit. What foreigners expect Delhi to be was not the lush green canopy of trees, immaculately kept monuments and gardens. Rahul knew how to take the perfectly positioned photos if you wanted selfies. The lunch spot provided perhaps the best meal of my month-long trip.

The hotel in Agra--The JayPee Palace was one of the most beautiful I've ever stay at anywhere in the world. Welcomed like an honored guest, clean comfortable room, gorgeous pool and grounds and several wonderful restaurants. My guide for the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, Amit (different from the tour operator) was the perfect guide. Exceptionally versed in the history of the area, the architecture and the intrigue of the royal court. This man sees the Taj nearly every day and obviously never tires of its beauty.

In Jaipur the Hilton was also and excellent hotel, though quite a contrast to Agra being in a more urban center. My guide in Jaipur, met us at the heart of the Pink City and showed me the key sites within the walled city and the Amber Fort outside of Jaipur. Can't say enough good things about this stop and guide. At each spot and after his "official tour", he allowed me to explore the forts of the grounds on my own for a while, which is a nice touch.

I can't praise this trip enough. A most memorable four days!
