We had a great Transylvania trip with Otilia and Bogdan. Would recommend for anyone wanting to learn about Romanian culture and get outside the city for a day.

Peter is probably the best tour guide we've ever had. He is super knowledgeable and passionate about history and art. He explains everything in perfect English and makes the tour very interesting and educational.

We booked the tour on the Tuesday for the Thursday. We arrived and there was an issue with the tickets.. peter our guide was very friendly and apologetic and sorted the issue out. From start to finish, he was nothing but friendly, helpful, informative and very passionate about his country and his job.

Wish we'd have had a bit more time in Brasov to explore but overall would recommend. Be prepared for a long day of driving - because of the distance, you are on the coach for the majority of the day.

Amazing value, amazing time! PETRU was wonderful all day, but only giving us a tour through Peleș cake, but giving us entertaining, informative guiding all day on topics ranging from architecture, Romanian history,
the Dacians, World War I in Romania, the Teutonic Knights, Romanian weddings, and more. It was really incredible and have me a profound appreciation of Romania that I will long remember.

His guiding alone was with more than the cost. You add to that what it would cost to get a train or car to each of these destinations and this tour was an incredible value.

FYI, it is a full day. With the terrible traffic, it was more than 13 hours. The bus was comfortable enough but it is a full day. Embrace seeing the Romanian countryside.

Also, there were no guided toyrs of Brașov (I think perhaps because that was or meal stop, but assist because we'd been given a full history of the city in the way) or Bram Castle (narrow passage would make this impossible with a large group anyway)

The driver (Blagov? Sorry i didnt catch it) was calm and professional during extended bumper to bumper traffic (almost 90 straight minutes in the Carpathians) and professional around switchbacks too.

I thought Peles Castle and Brasov were the highlights of the trip. It was a big group and our guide did an excellent job in keeping the pace going.

We booked this trip through Get your guide and went on 28th June. Our guide was Peter, who was Romanian , but spoke perfect English . The trip was a long one , but Peter helped pass the time by sharing lots of facts about the places we were going to, sights along the way and general Romanian history . He was very entertaining and funny. Peleş Castle was our favourite of the two, but Braşov and Bran castle were worth the extra drive to Transylvania. For the price , it’s a great day out anyway , but Peter really made the day and gave us a taste to learn more about România ‘s history . We would recommend it if you’re lucky enough to visit Romania !

Dracula Castle NOT anything to do with Dracula. The Vlad the Impaler hunting lodge castle is further down the valley and not on Itinary. Mattio knows his history but his italian accent, plus buzzing microphone did nothing to help hearing what he was quickly saying. As a former group leader I realize the pitfalls of trying to keep a group together and a tight schedule.
Arriving at Peles Castle we sped down the hill and waited for at least 4 parties to enter the castle. On the way we passed a restaurant and would have enjoyed a coffee and cake, having an early start, but stood for ages going nowhere. Perhaps your guide could book our place and the group could go to the hotel and relax and use the bathroom?
The return drive was beautiful, through the forest, and worth the later arrival in the city. Having lunch in Brasov took visiting time as service was slow.
Perhaps you could alter the queueing of the 'whole' party at Peles and allow for coffee and toilets.
Great young driver and caring guide...slow down the talking please.
Bran town a 'dump' and the market even worse. Couldn't they clean the place up?
Beautiful countryside and certainly value for money. Pack a lunch or get a carry out !!!

Read some reviews about this trip being too long and having to rush at the castles but we were positively surprised! It is a long day but Peter (our guide) made sure everything ran smoothly and was a brilliant tour guide. The castles can get a bit crowded but (given that they’re major tourist attractions) we didn’t think it was bad at all. Plenty of free time for lunch in Braşov too. Overall definitely worth the price and a great day! One small point of improvement would be seatbelts on the coach :)

The main attraction of this great day trip is actually the guide, Peter. Peter is a charismatic, intelligent and hilarious guide, who introduced us to Romanian culture and history throughout the trip. The Peles Castle is beautiful and impressive, but we were pretty disappointed by the “Dracula Castle” (which, after going on a different day trip, we now know is not the castle where Dracula actually lived). The Dracula castle was so crowded it was basically impossible to see anything (even though there was not much to see) and it is really not recommended to visit it on a hot day, because it’s basically sweltering there. Nevertheless, we had the best time thanks to Peter and would definitely recommend this trip.
