Amazing time! I really felt like we got to check all of the French food. We need off of our bucket list in a couple hours and it was so much fun and informative.

Very enjoyable and informative tour with exceptional food and drinks, Matthew was great at explaining everything and took the time to answer all of our questions, no matter what we asked.

The description does not mention that Sundays in Montmarte the only meeting point is the Abesses and not the Anvers metro stop. The website gave me the option to pick either meeting point and I chose Anvers and the site did not stop me. When I clicked on Meeting Point, it said Anvers (see photo).
So, we arrived at Anvers. The tour operator did not answer their phone. They did reply by text message that the meeting point on Sat-Sun is not Anvers, but Absesses and they gave us the location of the first stop of the tour, but only after we literally ran to the Abesses stop to find they’d already left. By the time we got to the first stop, they’d moved on to the second stop. Eventually, we did find the group and after settling down and taking a deep breath, we decided to take the rest of the tour.
To see this information on Abesses as the meeting point and not Anvers as it says in the Meeting Point dropdown, you have to instead choose to read through the long text of fine print under Tour-Specific Inquiries (see photo). Since I didn’t have any tour-specific inquiries, I never looked there.
Then we learned the tour did not include a visit to cheese shop or butchery because it was Sunday and they were closed. OK, but the website did not say this was the case.
So, we had a macaroon, some chocolate, a crepe, and then went to the Secret Food Tours office, sat around a table and had a great sit down meal of cheeses and meats with nice wines and great explanations from a really well informed foody guide. If that matched the tour description for a Sunday tour, I’d say five stars and we got value for the price. But that’s not the description of the tour . . . .
So, I’ve settled on two stars, because I take some responsibility for not reading the fine print under Tour Specific Inquiries.

Mo gave us a great overview of the history of Montmartre before we went on a walking tour of a variety of venders, selling meats, cheeses, crepes, macarons and chocolates. Then we went back and had a sit down sampling of all, complete with explanations and histories of each and accompanied by two different wines. Mo was great! I highly recommend this tour and him specifically.

Absolutely amazing - our tourguide, Agatha, fantastic. She was so knowledgeable about food and had great relationships with the proprietors of all the little shops she took us in. The tour was nicely balanced between walking around Montemartre visiting different food shops and enjoying a private wine and cheese tasting. Everything was so delicious and there was so much - No need for dinner after this tour!

This was one of the highlights of our trip! We gained so much local knowledge about local cuisine as we tasted so many delicious cheeses, meats, baguettes and of course wine! I fell in love with Monparte! We will be back!

We loved going to the different shops and learning about each one. The food was excellent. Our guide (food connoisseur) was very knowledgeable about each food item.
