WHAT TO EXPECT

Our guide and driver will pick you up from your Phuket hotel at around 3.00pm and we head inlands towards the main city of the island – Phuket Town. The capital of Thailand's only island province is worth visiting for its shopping, restaurants, and delightful examples of Indo-Portuguese mansions constructed by Chinese tin and rubber barons. Phuket town was originally settled about a century ago by Chinese residents of Malaysia who were drawn to the lucrative mineral deposits. Tin and rubber fortunes created by the great rush formed the great Sino-Thai dynasties, which still dominate the economies of southern Thailand. Wandering through the Sino-Portuguese centre of traditional Phuket – there is no better means to smell feel and touch Phuket’s architecture along its side streets and historical buildings. Crafted and designed in accordance to old and still practiced measures, Phuket Town represents to be admired and there is no better way to see the eye for detail in the design work by foot. Outside its rich cultural heritage, its quaint colonial mansions, there are many stories to tell about the history and design of Phuket Town and your guide will have all the ins and outs for you.

Phuket Town is a true melting pot of street side eateries and stalls that serve only the best. Together with viewpoints such as Promthep and Karon View Point, the vistas atop Rang Hill are famous for those seeking front row seats to watch the sun set and those in search for a prime spot for great views of Phuket Town. All this, including a visit to an old Chinese temple and finishing the evening off with a delicious dinner on top of Rang Hill, uncovering a Phuket, hidden from its touristic trails. After this feast for the eyes and taste buds, your driver and guide will bring you back to your hotel where you will arrive at around 8.00pm.

• Return transfers for this excursion apply only / are inclusive for customers staying along Phuket’s main beaches. Transfers outside these areas such as Mai Khao, Nai Yang, Laguna Phuket, Nai Thon, Nai Harn, Rawai, Chalong, Phuket Town and beaches along the east coast including any harbour and Phuket’s International Airport are excluded. Supplements apply for customers who want to join this excursion outside one of these regions.
• We will do all possible to comply with any dietary requirements during this excursion; it may not always be possible to confirm your wishes in advance based on the choice of local restaurant.
• We always will make efforts to confirm the exact pick-up time upon reservation. For any operational issues in which are not able to confirm the exact pick-up time in advance, we reserve the right to inform you the day before the departure of the tour.
• Please note pickup and drop-off services may not be confirmed for customers staying at private residences, apartment complexes, or other non-registered tourism accommodations. Customers may be asked to meet at a nearby hotel for pick-up and drop off.

• Please ensure that you bring sunglasses, a hat /cap and sunblock with a high SPF factor when traveling with us on this tour – even when it is cloudy, the sunrays still have an immense power.
• It is the responsibility of the customer to provide us with the correct hotel information, should pick-up and drop-off services be included in the package. Any changes in accommodation outside 24 hours will be handled accordingly: changes within 24 hours may be on request.
• In the event of no-show or change of accommodation without prior consent and confirmation from us within 24 hours may result in the applicable cancellation charges as outlined in the terms and conditions.
• We recommend wearing light, comfortable cotton clothing and comfortable shoes. This tour is only operated in the late afternoon.

Well organised it rained most of day and other people on tour left it early but tour guide excellent and funny. Would do again but in better weather..

Our guide was extremely good and punctual. Her English was also very good.

I was surprised that the tour focused on the Chinese ancestry of Phuket. First stop was a museum dedicated to this purpose. OK, so I didn't know this and therefore interesting.

The actual tour of the Phuket Old Town was OK, but less than I expected. If it were not a Sunday and the Old Town Market was in full swing, it would have been disappointing.

However, the dinner location is absolutely superb - the most amazing view over the city. Some of the dishes were excellent, some overcooked and dry.
