Spanish lunches can be heavy, so in the afternoons we like to do things a little differently by taking you for a truly relaxed three-hour bike cruise around our favourite district.
The former industrial district of Poblenou is full of treasures, like the iconic Torre Glories (a colourful, phallic-shaped colossus) and the epic Parc del Forum, while there’s also leafy parks to explore, and a sun-kissed sweep of urban beaches, perfect for cruising along.
We want to experience the city - not just ogle at it - so we’ll also call by at local markets and picturesque squares, and stop off to refuel at a local cafe or orxateria for some signature Spanish refreshments.
In this quiet district we can cover a lot of ground without breaking into a sweat… and if you want to really cruise along upgrade on the spot to one of our stunning Italian e-bikes.
Our small group ethos means that, unlike standard bike tours of the city, you’ll not only be learning about Barcelona, you’ll be living it too!

Great bike tour and way to see the city, especially the neighborhoods that aren’t very appreciated. Very enjoyable and our tour guide Agustin was great. Welcoming, funny, and taught us a lot!

Our guide Julio was very friendly and tailored our bike tour to our group - a family of 4 (including 2 young adults). It was great to see the less touristy districts of Barcelona and Julio was very knowledgeable.
It was a memorable and fun afternoon!!

Mariana was a fantastic tour guide! She took us through all of the areas that we wanted to see. Would definitely recommend this as a great way to see a lot of the city in a short period of time.

The tour was really fun & informative. We went early in our trip so we could return to some places. Our guide, Ale, was absolutely fabulous! We learned so much about Catalunya from her, and gained a much deeper appreciation for the place.

What an incredible experience! Alejandra the very BEST!! I've done other bike tours and they've been average at most (cough, cough Paris...). However, this one stood out like no other! It was fun, spontaneous, hip, and incorporated some very unique sightings. We even visited a Botero sculpture. 5/5 Recommend!! Best bike tour I've been on and also solo traveler friendly :)

This was an excellent tour that started at the beach, took us through much of historic Barcelona, and to many places we never would have discovered on our own. Our guide was fun and knowledgeable and the riding was easy and appropriately paced.

Really nice quiet bike ride through Barcelona. Start destination can be a bit difficult to find. Located on level -1, by the harbour. No signage!

We had an amazing afternoon peddling around the Gothic and Borne neighborhood with Mariana. The pace was great and the experience
was awesome. Very neat way to see parts of the city you wouldn’t normally see! Mariana shared her Barcelona with us, right down to one of her favourite coffee shops! 😀

This was quite simply an amazing bike tour and all 7 of us thoroughly enjoyed it and it was one of the highlights of our weekend in the beautiful city of Barcelona. Our host and guide Alejandra was fantastic and so warm, welcoming, friendly and informative.
Alejandra also took us during the tour to a great tapas bar (Els Sortidor del Parliament) where we enjoyed wonderful food, beer and wines.
If when visiting Barcelona you are looking to do a bike tour then I would look no further than Steel Bike Donkey Tours as they will not only provide you with a very enjoyable tour but also provide you with a wonderful insight into this beautiful city and take you to places you might not otherwise get to see.
