The Cathedral has been the beating heart of Seville since its creation as a mosque in 1198. After Seville fell under Christian rule, the decision was made to create a Cathedral in the place of the mosque that would show off seville’s prosperous wealth. Legend has it that the original design committee wanted the outside world to think they were “mad” for attempting this daunting project.
Built in 1507 the Cathedral remains the largest Gothic style Cathedral in the world! Today the famous Giralda bell tower, which lower portion remains from the original 1198 mosque, rises powerfully about the city skyline.

Our guide Emilio was entertaining and informative. We went primarily to see the tomb of Christopher Columbus and ended up learning so much more!!

I’m very easy going when it comes to ratings and nearly always leave feeling positive about something - but I’m really disappointed with this experience
I had booked my activities for the weekend with viator and after confirming everything over the live chat I booked a 1pm tour. They rang the day before saying it had to be moved to later in afternoon, but I already had other activities paid for so had to reschedule for the following day- fair enough things happen. But then when we arrived on time no sign of our guide , office person brought us down to the guide and no sign , we walked around in circles in the baking heat. When the guide arrived she was absolutely exhausted not fit to give a tour. She was a lovely person but so disinterested in the whole thing just wanted to get it done. €64 in the bin for me , not the money but the principle of it, shocking experience and not even a partial refund was offered despite me having to re arrange and cancel another activity

The check-in process was a bit of a mess, to be honest. Everyone shows up at one time for the tours and they only had one person checking people in. Getting all of the radios to work was again a hassle. But our guide Ricardo got us going and he did a serviceable job with the tour of the Cathedral. I would have liked a little more from him like maybe pointing out the artwork in there (that we missed because we didn't know about it). But we did book the tour very last minute and feel fortunate to have gotten in the Cathedral at all. Overall I would recommend this company.

Ivan is a great guide who mixed storytelling with humor. Initially, I thought this was going to be a disaster as the tour was close to 20 people and a few people had problem with their headset. We started 20mins late. But once we entered the cathedral, tour was smooth and Ivan was at his best.

This was the best tour for the time and value. Alberto was so incredibly knowledgeable. Easily managed our group. The headsets worked perfectly. There is so much to see at the Cathedral and Alberto hit the highlights with a fully understandable and interesting explanation. Thank you

Great tour. Emillio our tour guide was fantastic. He was very passionate and knowledgeable about the Seville history. We had a much better experience than those that were aimlessly walking around with no knowledge.

Really enjoyable tour, our guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. Easy to find the meeting point, bit chaotic as a separate tour was meeting at the same time. But after a short walk, we skipped the queue and headed inside. Beautiful cathedral and the guide was excellent. Nice to have free time at the end to explore at our leisure and visit the tower.

The guide, Therese, was knowledgeable and very enthusiastic and proud of the Cathedral. She has a great sense of humor and the tour was excellent. Highly recommend it! The office where we were required to check in was slightly disorganized as there were several different tours beginning at essentially the same time. Once we were headed to the Cathedral, Therese did a wonderful job.
